Foley & the Ladies
-Foley got his 3rd SB Coach of the Year award.
-Cobbins is DPOY and on 2nd team.
-Gault is on 1st team.
-Dawn is on 2nd team.
I didn't realize UALR defense was 2nd in the country.

RE: Foley & the Ladies
I knew the Ladies were very good defensively, at least by SBC standards. They held most opponents to under 50 pts. I am hoping they can win the tournament or get an At-Large Bid. Sure would like to see how they compete against higher ranked teams.

I think they can compete against teams ranked outside of the Top 25, and even against a few ranked inside. Top Five or Top Ten teams just have too much size and skill for us to handle. But regardless of what happens in the tournament, we've had a great season.

We need to have a high enough RPI, which we do at the moment, that we don't play the home team in the first round. A 12 seed would guarantee that. Based on our RPI we should be in the 8/9 game, but I doubt the committee puts as there. In a lot of ways the 12 seed would be better, because if we win that game, we would have a realistic shot at the Sweet 16. Our volleyballers should have been there- maybe the basketballers will.
