Because today is graduation?
that's a good enough reason for me
Is that Speedy? If it is, I'm glad he's graduating. We don't want to see him again.
It is.

FIU with a big win over UAB. Adrian Diaz with FIU's first ever triple double. 14 points, 12 rebounds, and THIRTEEN blocks. What a performance. Hopefully Diaz and Mavin could lead FIU to a deep run in the C-USA tourney.

This tournament is going to be fun. Anyone can beat anyone as it was proved through the regular season. Won-lost records don't mean squat. I'm just glad UTEP managed a bye.

RE: CUSA Basketball - Open Thread
I don't really care much about seeding (with the exception of getting a bye). Otherwise, it makes no difference to me. Any team can beat any team. We have beaten the #1 seed by 20pts and lost to last place FAU. The only two good things is that 1) we have a bye, and 2) we play at home. Even so, I wouldn't be surprised if someone outside the top 4 seeds won the tournament.

Huge game by Diaz. I believe the 13 blocked shots is good for NCAA most in this season!

UTEP had a pretty good day. Out of Tech's side of the bracket, don't have to play UAB until the finals, and get ODU as their 3. Thrilled with UTSA as our 7. Not quite as thrilled with FIU.

I think ODU wins this thing...I will take defense over offense (La tech)...

I do too.
If utep can avoid LA tech I think they have a good shot too.

We'll see. But, ODU doesn't match up well at all with UTEP. At least going by our first two CUSA games between this year and last. I think they're shooting under 30%, under 20% from 3, and haven't reached 100 points combined. Then again, ODU is going to be fighting for their at-large lives at that point, so maybe that balances it out.

Once again no.1 seed is the one team with the least resting time between games if they advance. CUSA needs to protect their 1 seed.
