My top choices are based mostly on geography and potential:
Missouri State - new market, #2 FBS in State, excellent facilities
UTC - return to TN market, former rivals w/ App and GS, easy travel, above average facilites
Coastal Carolina - new market, #3 FBS in SC, excellent location for continued growth

Animal control just removed the pachyderm from the building. So goes Liberty. Not gonna happen, cap'n.

Screw markets. Give me teams that will compete in sports and put fans in the seats. If you want a market you might as well invite Wofford or Samford.

This.

I'd have no problems with this . . . I don't see Idaho in your divisions, so I'm assuming we've "let them off the bus." My only question would be:
Is Eastern Kentucky ready?

They are probably a couple of years away from doing this with no problems, but they would come today if asked. They are the opposite of Missouri State.

I think the cost of attendance stuff will reshape all of the G5 leagues.

You will see schools group together a little more closely and with more in common. i.e., no more mixed membership leagues.

So, if this thinning of the herd has not happened in 2 or 3 years, there will be a core group of SBC members either join different regional lineups, one around Texas, the other around the southeast(hint:CUSA split), or they will strike out on their own with autobid intact and make a new league.

Whatever happens, the next 5-10 years could be even more eventful than the previous period.

I agree with those adds but it seems the consensus is to just add any school no matter how cheesey as long as they have a football team.
