They ain't. Eric Sorenson, who does a preseason 'Top 301' ranking of all the D1 teams, had them #66, and picked to finish 8th in the Pac12.

Not a super night for the conference so far. 3 games cancelled due to weather (ODU/Seton Hall, MT/Valpo and Charlotte/Akron). UAB squeaked by Savannah State (#262 in Sorenson's preseason poll) 2-1. UTSA tied with Bryant 4-4 in the 5th. FAU lost to Ohio State 8-2. Marshall lost a pair to Mississippi State 6-2 (understandable, ranked #24) and Alabama A&M 8-3 (umm.. #273)

Tech swept a double-header 9-3 and 3-1 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff...or as ULL would call them..Arkansas.

USM throws away their second game this week. Four errors lead to three unearned runs in a 3-2 loss to North Florida. Left the bases loaded in the 1st and 9th.

I don't expect much baseball to be played within the Commonwealth of Ky until March. Most of the forecasts don't show many days where it even gets above 32 degrees.

Thanks for starting this thread! FAU dropped their first game of the year, 8-2 to Ohio State. Silly mistakes along the base paths plagued us all game.

2-1 losers against St Louis today. Two more errors contributing to both runs. That's 6 errors in two games and 12 this season.

Awful 9th inning for FIU, winning 9-8 and Georgia Tech plates 7 runs...FIU lost 16-9 to the Yellow Jackets. Now, FIU is 2-2.

Good to see our baseball program has followed football and basketball into a giant turd sandwich.

Wheels fell off for Rice in the bottom of the 9th as well. Leading Arizona by 1, Rice committed 4 errors and allowed a walkoff steal of home.

Our game tonight against Nicholls State called in the 7th due to rain. Ends in a 1-1 tie. USM finishes the weekend 0-2-1.

Rice beats Arizona 6-4 today to take the weekend series... Now, they're heading back to Houston where we have Stephen F Austin midweek, followed by a four game set against Stanford. Stanford isn't particularly great this year, only 2-4 thus far.

At least we've been able to overcome them in most of our games so far...

We scored 4 runs in 2 games plus 7 innings. Hard to overcome errors when you don't hit. Starting pitching gave up 1 earned run this weekend.

Do we have a new hitting coach this season, or am I mis-remembering that?

Regardless, I don't see Berry back in 2016 if we don't make a regional. Gotta pull the plug & give someone else a shot before our past successes become too distant a memory, and you know it won't break a 2nd-year AD's heart to bring in his own guy.
