What a great run of late from Marshall. Herd played a great game in front of a great crowd.

We have good support for pretty much any team that is even half-ass. The white-out looked decent against the dark green seats there. I'm guessing it looked even better on TV?

You can see in D'Antoni's system anyone can play. I didn't expect more than 9-11 wins this year. I would have loved to seen Kambola in D'Antoni's system for more than 1 year. I really think the guy could have been a monster. And that's saying something because the 1st 3 years he was here he looked really bad.

I still don't expect the Herd to really contended next year but we will have 2 maybe even 3 more true shooters on the floor.

This is why I think it is so important to have a strong Marshall basketball team.

Marshall can sell out their arena with a decent team.

Ummm... Your women's basketball team is 14-9 and has drawn 4,462 fans all season. For comparison, MT had 4,414 TODAY.

This game basically seals the deal on WKU hoops for the season. They aren't good enough to play in the post season. I thought the Rice loss was an anomaly but losing back to back games against mediocre teams leaves no doubt.
If you can't beat Rice or Marshall you can't expect to win a NCAA tourney game so it is best we don't make it. The expectations weren't too high this year but now it all comes crashing down after another bad loss.

I meant any men's basketball team that is decent. I will write more slowly for you so you can comprehend I was talking about men's basketball in a men's basketball thread.

It's hard to get excited about this since the only way Marshall makes it to the NCAA tourney is to win CUSA and that ain't likely to happen, but when Marshall beats the top conference teams UTEP WKU, CUSA getting two bids becomes less likely.

I think ODU losing to UTSA pretty much eliminated any chances of two bids this season anyway.

Hey, apparently it's a big deal in the middle of Tennessee.
