NO! He was set to be a early enrollee, but his high school FB team made it to the State Championship and he missed out on a lot of the recruiting process.
I want you guys to know what kind of player and person you are getting with Jamarius. I'm still sick to my stomach my Crimson Tide didn't pull the trigger on him. You guys will have a bunch of new Tiger fans because of Jamarius, me included!

He is by far, hands down the best RB prospect out of South Alabama, EVER! That includes the likes of Siran Stacey, Tony Richardson, and Junior Sewell.

He is a very hard worker, great teammate, and over all a great, great kid. He had over three hundred yards rushing in the State semi final game and two hundred yards rushing in the Championship game. He rushed for over fifteen hundred yards in five playoff games and set the Alabama State single season rushing mark. He was runner up for the MR. Football and was 3A back of the year in 2013. I will post some of his highlights for your enjoyment.

Congratulations on a great recruiting class!

That is some pretty good company of running backs you rattled off there. I can't ever remember being this excited about Tiger football.

I played against all three of those guys in HS. Although Siran was a Senior my Freshman year, I got a front row seat when we played. Not one of them were on the same level as Jamarius when they graduated.

I've watched Jamarius play for the past four years and seeing him develop into the player he is now is unreal. There will be several teams kicking themselves in a couple of years for letting him get away. He is a absolute beast on both sides of the ball. You guys are going to absolutely fall in love with this kid!

I had no idea where Midland City was until I looked it up, and I realized that I just drive through there three weeks ago.

If you blinked, you missed it! Not much there, but Football on Friday nights.

The guy had 3800 yards and 44 TDs his Senior Year! I thought that was career but it is not. Both State Records and he had 1500 yards this year in the 5 playoff games! Over 200 yds in the final. He finished just a few votes from the Running Back that signed with Auburn, from Madison Academy, for 3A player of the year.

RE: JaMarius Henderson
The funny thing about those videos is some of the teams have 11 players within 5 yards of the ball to stop him.

Henderson is big at 5' 11" 215. That means he will more than likely play at 225 to 230 at running back. He runs downhill (forward body lean) but still makes lateral cuts. (7:25 mark) He plays linebacker on defense and seems to enjoy contact.

I think the fact that he came from a small 3A school caused some large schools to back off. I know Florida was very interested early on. Then again Herschell Walker played in the smallest classification in Georgia and was doubted by a lot of analysts. We all know what happened with him. 3A (1A through 7A in Alabama) is certainly small schools but Madison Academy is close to where I live and they are the equivalent of the 5A schools in my area. He had 200 yards on 30 carries against them in the State Championship.

Check out the run at 19:09 in one of the State playoff games.

At the 19:30 mark is the State Championship game against Madison Academy. You can see how he does against a well coached quality team at that point.

Let me tell you, Jamarius is better then Kerryon Johnson. If you look at the numbers between the two for the last three years, it's not even close. The difference is Jamarius lives south of Montgomery and Kerryon lives north of Montgomery.

They lost to Madison Academy in the State Championship game and Kerryon had a monster game, but just look at the name of Kerryon's school. They get to recruit their players. That was the fourth year in a row they made it and third championship in a row. Just goggle the school and you'll get what I'm talking about. A lot of people in the state of Alabama are over these private schools getting to compete against public schools.

Madison's O-Line looked liked they could all play in the SEC. Their other RB (Malik Miller) will be playing in the SEC next year. He has offers from just about every School.

Does Alabama still play public vs private? TN recently separated those schools because the private schools can basically recruit.

I'm not sure they will ever change it. If not, they need to make them compete in the 6A or 7A classification to make it fair.

There used to be a private school classification but private schools were not as common as in other states and they were generally very small schools. It has frown a great deal over the past few years.

I just watched this kids highlight tape again. If our offense line is decent not great just decent our offense could put up huge numbers. This kid will get carries next year.

The RB position is wide open. The only decent return is DD, and he will be coming off an injury season. So it is there for the taking.

I think Robert Davis could be a quality RB

I think you are forgetting about Davis, Cooper and Wallace (redshirt freshman from NW Arkansas).

I know I am continuing the derailment, but Dorceus might be the most well-rounded of the backs that I have seen. However, Davis had that wow factor when he was in. He cut and accelerated quicker than Hayes, DD, or Cooper. I hope he has climbed out of the dog-house and will get more carries next year.

If this kid is that good... I'm trying to understand why the Auburn, AL, FL and other SEC schools did not come after him??? I don't get it, was that he only played in a small school classification? Don't make sense, recruiters are payed to project kids out... our staff did there home work and other schools didn't?

I think one of the Henderson's might not qualify which is why we signed both as an insurance policy. I have the same feeling on jones the receiver out of dallas. I find it hard to believe no big time schools wanted him. In my opinion his talent jumps out at you. But we see in June when the new roster comes out.
