Yanks scholarship offer from RB recruit on signing day. Wonder if McGee was the un-named assistant that got to make the call.

Maybe we should get that young man to come to UAB and be on our new Men's track team while we wait for football to be reinstated.

Or play soccer in our new soccer facility.

Men's Track and Field teams, like Men's Gymnastics, have become a rarity in the south since Title 9 became law. We have discussed how far the basketball team may have to travel if C-USA drops us to another conference, so how far would we have to go for T&F competitions?

Petrino would be a perfect fit for the UABOT.

Actually, UAB is only adding a Men's Cross Country team, not a Track & Field team.

316 Division I schools currently sponsor Men's Cross Country
41 in the South Region (AL,FL,GA,MS,TN)
48 in the Southeast Region (KY,NC,SC,VA)
11 in Conference USA
7 in Alabama

Bobby Petrino still a jerk. In other news, the sky is blue when it is not cloudy or dark, it is often cold outside in February, and water is wet.

Just to update, he was picked up by Wake Forest.

There was no doubt that a Mr. Football was going to find a spot somewhere. Pretty sure he won't need anything to help him get up for the game when he eventually gets his shot at Louisville, too.
