Obama attempts to deflect from ISIS killing by comparing to Crusades
At national prayer breakfast this morning he tells us to "get off our high horse" and remember that "during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ"
Wow. So in order to deflect from what is happening NOW in the Middle East, he wants to point to events from over ONE THOUSAND YEARS ago and say that "See? You did it too!"

Not saying I don't trust you but do you have a link? I'd be interested to see the rest of the article.
As for what was said, Good God. He just can't help himself. I used to think he was just an ass hole etc. Now, I honestly just think he is in way over his head. He has nothing to offer except conversations on race and a very particular liberal worldview. Hell, his research history shows that, Mr. critical legal theorist. He's just flat out incompetent and I think more and more people are seeing that.
I think the media wants to think he is their guy but increasingly he isn't. He isn't a left wing mastermind set to redraw the political map. He's just a guy in way over his head fumbling from issue to issue.
A different type of campaign from a much less civilized time. Atrocities committed in the Crusades and Inquisition aside, how can he draw such comparisons with a straight face and continue to sympathize and make excuses for isis?
RE: Obama attempts to deflect from ISIS killing by comparing to Crusades
Here's one I found a reprint of, so I don't know if it's true... Back during the Inquisition (which was part of his "TRIPE"), that he was holding a grudge against...
Quote:Secular historians given access to the Vatican's archives in 1998 discovered that of the 44,674 individuals tried between 1540 and 1700, only 804 were recorded as being relictus curiae saeculari (relinquished to the secular court) for punishment. The 763-page report indicates that only 1 percent of the 125,000 trials recorded over the entire 345-year history of the Inquisition ultimately resulted in execution by the secular authority, which means that throughout its infamous history, on average per year, four people were tried and put to death.
Yeah, that's another great comparison from BOZO the clown.

Pathetic. This is your president.
I've actually used that comparison to define my hatred regarding religion (more specifically, the catholic crap I was thrust into)
one of my fave mel(isms).....nothing is better than murder in the name of the church.....

Obama had a more non-denominational message for the audience that also included prominent leaders of non-Christian faiths. The president said that while religion is a source for good around the world, people of all faiths have been willing to "hijack religion for their own murderous ends."
"Unless we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ," Obama said. "In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.
"So it is not unique to one group or one religion," Obama said. "There is a tendency in us, a simple tendency that can pervert and distort our faith."

A liberal favorite, attacking Christianity for being violent while excusing the stack of bodies Islam piles up on a daily basis.
Yep, he wants to talk about stuff that happened hundreds of years ago or in the dark ages, as opposed to a global threat that is present now. Sometimes he takes his mask off and it ain't pretty.

We've kidded (and not so kidded) about him holding a grudge... but he's holding a grudge for something 700+ years ago... now THAT's A Grudge.

On 9/11, REAL MUSLIMS killed more people in the name of Islam because the Prince of War, Muhammad (piss be upon him), commanded it in the Koran, than were killed in all the years of the Inquisition.
