I used to dislike him for his opinion of Cal. Now I like him.

To me that proves how good of a writer the guy is. Like him or not he's a great writer.

"Many" didn't show up. It was after all "East Carolina". I promise you he'll be at future games. Him not showing up likely has zero to do with not wanting to face a crowd which disagrees with him, and more likely to do with him having other more important things to manage in his life.

Really who cares...plus if he has to "face the music", he has a radio show and plenty other games to attend.

I doubt he's scared to face Pastner or the crowd. Most of the crowd probably agrees with him anyway

I didn't disagree with Calkins, attendance tells the tale....although we have made the out of town drive to two games this year, they were both for convienence, once for my birthday and we were going to Nashville or Memphis for it anyway, but the Oral Roberts game was on that day so we came to Memphis. The second we already had tickets to the Grizzlies and Tigers were playing that afternoon so we decided to do both. But a lot of empty seats at two different Saturday afternoon games does not bode well. We enjoyed it because the Let's Move Down app let us upgrade to third row seats for the UCF game, but just saying, empty seats and easy to move down is not what we are used to. Lack of ball handling guards is killing us.

A writer that specializes in writing smart butt and cheap shots about the Hometown team in the Hometown newspaper should not be employed.

Calkins thrives on doing this and I'm surprised the CA puts up with it.
