it wouldn't be a bad idea to have an exception to let a group of sorority girls hang out there during one of the big TV games or recruiting visits

While UCF does boast some of the hottest sorority girls in the country (I have first hand knowledge being a current student and fraternity man), I think the point of this is to provide premium seating as a potential money maker. So it wouldnt make sense to give tickets away to sorority girls so they look hot on tv, no matter how much the rest of us would like that lol

I was thinking more UCF girls in bikinis serving drinks. School makes money, looks great on tv and the girls make money. Win for everybody 04-cheers

They should sell beer throughout the stadium. The lack of beer is the reason I watch the games at the Ale House instead of going to the game.

Meh, sneak a flask in and get a coke inside and make your own drink. That way you can support UCF in the stadium. Or spend $900 to drink in the East Side Club.

I think most of those are off campus stadiums which is why it is easier for them to sell beer at games. Idk why we dont do it for UCF athletic events, but when the Orlando Predators of the Arena League played at our basketball arena last season they sold beer inside.

If you put a 1000 hot sorority girls in there, people will pay a premium to be in that section.

OT- Can you take me to one of these frat parties?COGS

We have been doing it forever. Part of it is Cincinnati culture. I went to a Catholic grade school and parents could get beer inside of the school for school events, lol. I think Elder High School sells beer at football games.

UC also sells booze and wine inside Corbett Auditorium for musical productions, on campus.

They're also putting individual chair back seats in the club area. They need to put these throughout the damn stadium, except the student section.

Thats awesome lol I really wish you could buy beer at UCF games and not just at the club levels. I feel like it could be a pretty good revenue stream for us.

UCF has had bars on campus for over 20 years. I don't get why the stadium is some exception.

I think this is a cute idea, only a killjoy would have something bad to say about it.

You don't have to be a killjoy to think the lack of booze at the rest of the stadium is ummm problematic though.

Actually what's interesting is the profit margin is very small on college campuses. They do it as part of the experience. I do think it helps our tailgate

Please keep watching games at the Ale House...UCF is much better off if you do.

You're saying you prefer the lack of booze sales inside--it leads to a better experience both inside and outside the game--right?

I'm not much of a tailgater myself so perhaps that's why I prefer an onsite source of alcohol.

Many UCF fans have seen both sides of this...back when UCF played at the Citrus Bowl near Cracktown (city owned stadium, 15 miles from UCF...sold beer) as back then, there weren't as many tailgating lots and some had shorter tailgate times at the CB to games at UCF's campus...where tailgating starts at 8 AM for main booster lots...as now UCF fans can enjoy tons of beverages for 4-12 hours before game times...then there was the West Side Club and Suites for those that wanted more booze and/or didn't want to tailgate...to now a new East Side Club...for those that want to do the same.

Most of the problems that I saw back to the Citrus Bowl days were created by non-UCF Fans (i.e. dregs of society that would end up with a free tix or went to a game with a friend) who ended up drinking 1-5 TOO many.

Sadly, there were numerous wrecks post-game from the Citrus Bowl on the toll road back to UCF's campus...with several students getting killed in DUI Wrecks. (Let alone the sad event when a drunk non-UCF student got in a fight with an undercover cop who ended up getting shot/killed by a cop in uniform after that cop saw a gun and didn't know he was an undercover cop).

UCF now has epic tailgating on campus and in most cases, its far from dry...so I don't mind some fans sobering up during games before they head home.

The new East Side Club is a win-win for UCF/Fans...more $$$$ to UCF for premium amenities and new beverage/food options, 50 yd line chairback seats and 2nd level concourse bathrooms for ESC Members.
