Memphis spending too much on FB?
I don't normally get insider info about AAC schools, but someone I know who is moderately reliable got some info from Memphis admins that they are getting too focused on FB, and the MBB program is suffering as a result. Rumor has it that as soon as Fuentes gets poached by another school (U Tenn maybe?) they will de-empathize FB so that they can put more resources back into BB.

As I get more info, I'll post more updates.

You're welcome.

My sources at the local coffee shop say that Fred is willing to pour as much money into both programs as needed to get into the Big 12.

My sources applaud Memphis for spending more on football and less on basketball. Then again, my sources actually know the future.

Sources at my alma mater say we are interested in playing football in the fall...that is all.

If you're going to troll, at least make it believable. Fuente is still our coach at least thru next year, we have some huge boosters that know football is king and basketball is one of the best funded in the country, and Butch Jones has UT rolling right now.

Come on man. Up your game.

You're welcome.

I just report it as I hear it. From what I've heard, the football program is letting greed get in the way of sharing the resources more equitably with the other sports. Within a year or 2, this will be fixed, but not until the current FB coach goes off the greener pastures.

You're welcome.

But I thought football was king.

You can't criticize schools for not spending on football and then criticize them again when they start spending on football.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

You're welcome.

Knowing the athletic administration very well, I can absolutely say he did not get any such information from any administrator at Memphis.

BTW, our head football coach is surnamed Fuente.

Resources available for both sports are well documented as this is a public university and you should do your homework and a little fact checking before stating inaccurate information.

Repeating so called rumors, just makes you look foolish.

You're welcome for that free advice.

He just trolls schools. It's his sad little life and this gets him some attention in which he must crave.

No, I am from the future. They are from this time. It is an easy to get that mixed up.

I can't decide which of the three concepts is more frightening. I will say this though, you might be right with one of them.
