Bet: UH will be a tourney team before UCF

So what is the explanation of your plan?

Just "wishing" for NCAA invite?

Thanks again for the great insight.

Its very simple; compare the people who are leading the program.

Houston has just as many problems as UCF right now. UCF has a few bright spots with a couple of true freshman that are our two leading scorers and have been rookies of the week a couple times each so far. Tough to say which team will rise to tourney caliber first, if any.

And if you're talking about jones being a bad coach because of the NCAA trouble we got in didn't Sampson get forced out at Indiana because of serious NCAA violation allegations?

Ok...but that's not a plan nor does it guarantee success.

UH, with incredible tradition, has had some "named" people leading their program in past years, yet in almost every one of those years, they didn't enjoy any success.

We have 2 freshman that our leading our team and a large influx of talent next year. I think we make the nit next year and NCAAs the following year.

Our leader has wins over #4 Uconn and #16 Florida. He will be fine when he has a talented team. Look how quick Temple turned around with a deeper roster. We only have 8 guys playing on scholarship.

Well that's an air tight argument. We should all just quit now. He wins.

It's kind of fun reading the sub 200 RPI teams argue about which team is going to be terrible for the shortest amount of time.

I agree with this. It's stupid to argue about this now. We both suck. The Houston guy brought up they would be in the tourney before us. I don't see any substantial evidence right now that either team will be a top 50 RPI team within the next few years.

Sounds like you don't know...why not go look it up?

Or...one could say: "Which coach has been run out of town/fired at his 2 previous HC coaching stops?"

Does that mean he can't win at this 3rd stop? Or that he will automatically get fired?

Of course not.

Yes that's the problem with the 200 club. You win you drop a few, you lose you drop a lot.
It happened to Tulsa after beating USF and to SMU after beating ECU

SMU dropped 10 spots in RPI even though they won by 20. Exactly why Aresco and his crew NEED to set some scheduling rules for the programs that can't seem to help themselves.

Yep, shouldn't be this way. It hurts everyone.

SMU "win" a few more games like the one against ECU and they'll risk being out of the Tournament.

Simmer down there buddy. I thought it was you that said "Bet: UH will be a tourney team before UCF" I didn't read the whole thread so if someone said something about that before you then I am sorry, I should have went back and read all the responses before saying anything.

It is really going to depend on if the guys we are bringing in for next year are as good as we hope they are. It will be very nice not to only have 9 scholarship guys on the roster and get back up to 14.

Here's a better idea --- how about the ECU administration upgrading their pathetic OOC schedule.
