Last time I checked, FBS had both.

4 teams is not a true playoff, not even close. Especially when those 4 are decided by a corrupt committee

Just a matter of time until there's an 8-team playoff. And, the committee's "corrupt?" Wow.

If we had the awesome, amazing & spectacular BCS, Alabama & FSU would've been playing for the National Championship! Wohoo!!

As Ive said 100 times, use the BCS formula, just keep the expanded 4 teams (hopefully 8 in future). It might not have changed much this year, but its a much much impartial way to do it, than to have a few people decide it.

I don't know if it was a big deal this year, its just a shame you are putting important decisions in the hands of a few people, and even fewer people who actually know anything about football. The BCS ranking system was ideal, a mix of human computers, that's the only fair way to do it. The problem is, it took too much power away from the powers that be, and we lost the fair system.

ISU's quarterback was an IU QB. I remembered him cause me and Eddie money played an ncaa online dynasty and our "random choosing" landed me at IU lol

If you had to live on Fargo you'd want to be on the first plane out of there too.

Dallas likely 75 degrees warmer than Fargo

ISU's QB is outstanding; he'd start at NU for sure and likely Illinois as well. If ISU is the 4th best team in Illinois then that says quite a bit about the strength of college football in this state.
You clearly didn't watch much Illinois or Northwestern football. And for good reason, it should be kept a shameful secret. This state is bad at college sports. For reasons I cannot comprehend.
I did watch Illinois qualify for a bowl game and NU beat PSU, Wisky & Notre Dame. Illinois is improving and NU when motivated can beat more talented teams.
That is a low standard.
Notre Dame & Wisky beat SEC teamsi in their bowls and PSU won their bowl game also. Illinois qualified for their first bowl in years; both a work in progress but on the upswing as ISU appears to be as well.

NDSt would seem to be a good fit for the MAC. I wonder if there ever was any interest.

I think NDSU has interest, though its on an island way out West with no TV market.

As much as I don't want to admit it, ISU makes a lot of sense in the MAC. Would suck to have another school to compete for recruits, but would be awesome to have a natural rival. I can get up for Toledo/WMU as much as the next guy, but an annual beat down of the Redbirds would be a blast. I don't think I'm going out on a limb by saying their basketball program is light-years ahead of us as well.
