Toungue Ray Watts' math
Someone please help me. I understand Watts is claiming we will save the funds that would have been invested in capital improvements that would be necessary to keep football competitive in C-USA. But he also said we would continue to invest the same amount in the athletic program but would reallocate that money to other sports.
If that is the case, how will we save money when we will be spending the same amount but no longer bring in any football revenue?
I realize I am not as smart as Watts, but I don't get his math.

4+11=42. Ray is mathematically challenged.

RE: Ray Watts' math
Assuming Watts never resigns, gets fired, or has a heart attack from the stress from hiding:
I think the reality is that the budget will remain the same for a year or two to pay for all the broken game contracts, coaching contracts, support staff salaries, honored scholarships for players, new men's track/xc budget, and entry fees for a new conference. Then, the new AD will trim the budget with the help of that weasel vp holding the numbers folder... UAB athletics will never see a dime from the university discretionary fund again & will depend solely on student athletic fees. Watts will get some of his cronies to pitch in donations for a year or two to make things look like athletics is receiving more support. Then, citing lack of support, we'll drop to D-III and change the athletic fee to a research support fee & UAB will be taken back to the pre-Bartow era.
