The problem is most of the conference only has 3 or 4 more OOC games left. That's where you build your profile for the NCAA and NIT and as a whole the conference hasn't built what was expected. Unless 2 or 3 teams out of SMU, Cincy, and UConn just plow through this conference and only lose to each other there is very little chance of 3 bids. 2 is starting to get sketchy now and it very well could only be 3 bids to the NCAA and NIT combined the way it's looking.

Even though it would be best for the AAC I also wouldn't expect teams like UConn and SMU to just walk through the rest of the conference unscathed. They got big bullseyes on their backs anytime they will walk into the arena's as defending champs or with Larry Brown and likely will bring the biggest crowds and energy at schools like Houston, Tulane, ECU, UCF etc and could end up getting tripped up along the way which would kill any little chance there is.

2 bids is a lock, IMO. 3 is highly likely, again IMO.

The fact that people, such as yourself, are losing there sh*t annoys me to no end. Again, it's freaking December!!! If this is still a problem in late Jan./early Feb., you might have a point. Its not, and you don't.

i will be the first to say that there are several teams that SHOULD improve as the year goes on. I know December does not the season make.

However having said that, this conference is not good this year, nor will it be by the end of the year. I maintain the best we could hope for right now would be three bids...that means THREE teams stepping up. Right now we look like a one bid conference. I allow a couple teams will step up in addition. But I'm not holding my breath either.

his team loses to Yale and somehow we are supposed to believe by March this UCONN team will make 'the run'....lol.

I will give UCONN this: they have played some good teams tough and are probably better off than UC, Memphis, and Temple, but let's not pretend this is UCONN's year.

I am just looking for a consistent rotation of players that we can count on. If Burrell and Pookie can come on I will feel better about the season.

Ikr. He subbed 3 new players in after 2:30 into the first half. Who is in any type of groove doing that. He is going to have these players scared to doing anything and play stiff on the court.

I am saying this on 12/14/14, that the farthest I see UCONN going in the tournament is to the Sweet Sixteen. Keep in mind everything has to go right for this to happen. I don't see a national championship/final four run in this team, at all. I didn't think that at the beginning of the year, and nothing I've seen to this point changes my mind.

It sure as hell IS a problem. This isn't the ACC where there will be opportunities against the Dukes, UNC's, Louisvilles, Virginias etc... in January and February for quality wins. There are only a few OOC games left for each team and so far the leagues best win is UCONN against Dayton. Nobody has a win against a ranked team, or a team getting votes in either poll. Only SMU has an RPI that would likely get them in. Beating up on 100 RPI teams in league play isn't going to move the needle much. The best chance for getting three in the tournament is for the top four to sweep the bottom six. and then seeing how head to head between those four plays out. I think SMU will get in and that UCONN will get it together. But unless there's an upset in the tournament 2 will be the number. Anybody who can't understand how this dismal OOC showing has hurt us obviously doesn't understand how the process works.

And Memphis won't even be in the NIT this year, there's actually no reason for me to concern myself with the Tourney committee and your pretend farce that games in December don't matter. But **** it, you seem pretty confused, so I'll clue you in. You've spent too much time in the Big East, every game matters when your conference is this bad, take it from fans who've been in a one bid conference.

There still is time to get some quality wins.

Some schools will get the benefit of the doubt, no matter what conference they are, notably UConn. The name on the front of a jersey still counts for a select number of schools.

However, I think that a UConn fan's mentality from the old big east that if a school gets 21-22 wins and finishes above .500 in the conference that the school has a good chance of getting an invite. That is far, far from the experiences of 80% of the AAC members.

Yep. Our conference RPI isn't going to fall just because we start playing each other.

As a conference, no AAC has beat anyone worth a damn but we have lost to bad teams. All you have to do is look at each teams RPI.
