RE: Go Daddy!!
Crap, no Bowl for the Rockets this year... (but maybe two of them in 2015). Can't make this, wish it was Saturday night instead of Sunday.

Mobile puts on one of the best bowl atmosphere's around. Both sides need this to be a good game so maybe ESPN will think of putting our regular season game next year on ESPNU.

Should be a good match-up. I kinda like the fact that this Bowl is the "start" of our "home and home" series with the Red Wolves. Should help fans of both teams get to know each other better! And Mobile is a far better bowl location than Boise...

If you guys need any ideas about what there is to do in Mobile, just ask us. We've played 5 games there in the last 4 seasons, Mobile's mayor is starting to joke about making us pay taxes.

Traditionally we take over the town...Brought over 10K the last couple years.

How far is Ark. St. from Mobile? One of the things I liked about the Ford Field games is that we get a "home" game for the bowl. If we could play in Florida between Christmas and New Years - it would be ideal. Too many bowl games and attendance is not usually supported by the locals - especially if it is going to be on a Sunday night with an 8pm start time.

Not overly close. About 6 and a half to 7 hours by car.

A lot of our fans set their finances where the Bowl trip is the big family vacation of the year. Last couple years, Jonesboro area schools have reported a ton of absences the Monday after the game. We may not attend a single road game all year, but if its a bowl, we're going.

Mobile is well supported by the locals. It sells out every year.

Besides the The Potato Bowl, I think the is the next worst bid. By this time, after the Holidays and all the New Years Day games, everybody is bowl games out and everyone is only
Interested in talking about the Championship game and the NFL playoffs. Arkansas State. offers no realy interest. Would much rather play Western Kentucky in the Bahamas Bowl. not sure how CMU seems to have been offered a better Bowl and not sure I understand how BG is even in a bowl game after Toledo got screwed last year. Didn't BG lose the last three games?

Thanks for your hospitality once again MobileBama. I sold the Jambulance earlier this year so I'll have to reach out to the new owner to see if they are going down for the game. If so, I'll let them know about the possibility of the Jambulance getting into the parade once again. That was a total blast way back when (2005).

Strongly disagree. Go Daddy is the best of the MAC bowls. Mobile is a great place to visit, and the pregame festivities are first class. I wouldn't dis ASU. They have been successful against the MAC.

I've been to all the recent bowls and have to agree that Godaddy (used to be GMAC) was the best by far.

It's in a very nice and clean city with interesting things to do and places to go. The bowl events are top notch, the speaker at the banquet was great (Terry Bradshaw in 2005), the night-time Mardi Gras parade was very cool. Even the locals, who support this bowl unfailingly, are very interested in talking to the visiting fans about their team, their city, everything.

It was/is the opposite of what the Motor City Bowl used to be and is exactly what a bowl experience should be.

I think it is the "date" that this game is played that bothers me most. Not the venue, opponent, or bowl game itself that I have a problem with.

I think those are some great points. And, as my buddy said, "Hopefully a polar vortex won't drop all the way down there like last time." LOL! It was definitely chilly!

I'm not overconfident about our chances. But, considering the state of our team this year, I think it's a good matchup.
