Damned travesty. My heart is with you UAB folks. Just starting to dig your way out of a hole...UA should be ashamed.

The NCAA should see this as a conflict of interest, plain and simple, and demand that the UA Board of Trustees relinquishes all institutional control of its member institutions' athletic departments or face a 5-year bowl ban (beginning immediately, so no 2014 big dance) and the loss of 100 scholarships, including at least 75 in football!!

Let's see what PBJ does when threatened with the loss of up to 5 new crystal balls for Saban and possibly more from the resulting depth issues! I mean, if you think what happened with Logan Young in 1999/2000 was big, this makes it look like child's play!

I'm listening to Coach Clark on this fellows. Mackin is gone. He is the Judas of UAB Athletics until proven different. His behavior at the USM game last night shows his guilty conscience. Any separation agreement is just his pieces of silver.

Really hoping UAB can be saved. Y'all were great hosts to Pitt when we went to the Compass Bowl. Legion Field was almost a home away from home for a stretch of three years. You guys on this board led me to a couple of nice BBQ joints in the area. I'm not the most religious person on the block, but my prayers are w/ y'all. Y'all are a great bunch of fans and deserve better than this.

Agreed,how in the hell can you deny a program when they had outside donors who wanted to help hire Jimbo Fischer,build an ocs,and I bet refurbish the practice field? There's something wrong with this picture.

I can't imagine how stressful this is for you guys. If this we're my team, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I wish you all the best of luck. I signed the petition that was floating around this board before, and I'd be happy to help again in any way I can.

This! Someone at the game said they spotted him keeping his distance from the UAB side of the field until after the game, when he walked over to the team to offer his "sword hand" of empty congratulations...Spend it all in one place, Mackin....
