Exclamation Turnaround Candidates for Next Season - Your Input
The Tigers this season showed it is possible to reverse a team's results in a short time period.

Based on watching Tiger opponents this year, I think USF is the most likely candidate to duplicate Memphis' success.

Temple is 5-6 with an opportunity to become bowl eligible. IMO, they are too good now for a turnaround of the magnitude achieved by Memphis.

Tulane are very young and have a coach who is coaching for his job next season.

Id take Temple. USF isnt there yet and our schedule isnt friendly next year with road trips to Maryland and FSU, plus the majority of the top of the AAC we have them on the road.

Temple is really close... theyre my pick.

i really think UConn is primed. they have great size across the board and what i think is a very good head coach. they make too many mistakes and they really need some speed, but i think they are close.

USF is similar but i thought UConn is the better of the 2 going forward.

Tulane and SMU have a lot of work in front of them, with SMU being in the deepest hole

Temple is already pretty good so they dont factor into this conversation

If this conference continues to be so piss poor on the back end and mediocre on the front end, anyone could turn it around.

I agree with USF having a breakout season, with at least 7 or 8 wins.

They were pretty darn close to beating ECU and Maryland this year, but just ran out of gas.

You would have to wait until the conference schedules come out before knowing, because you would need to know who draws a Memphis like conference schedule.

Still better than the ACC

Andre Davis will be a huge loss for USF. I would say UCONN, but they don't have a QB that shows me they are capable.

I'll vote Tulsa.

Since you likely live in ACC land, I am sure you have an ax to grind. But this conference is not better than the ACC. Not even in a universe where Spock has a beard.

Forgot to add earlier that any turnaround is likely to be from the AAC West Division.

with next years schedule:

HOME: FAMU, SyraCuse, Cinci, Temple

ROAD: FSU,Maryland, UCF, UConn, ECU

WE have four rough home games and theres a good chance our cross division games we could get Houston or Memphis on the road. This is why I am hesitant to call for a breakout year.

I think our crossover games will be Tulsa at Home and then probably Tulane and Navy one home and one away.

Id be happy with that but I hope its SMU and Tulane. Tulane is getting better but I think we could take them... that would be three wins... and we might be able to find three more. My only goal next year is 6-6.
