Fit you and i agree that crime and violence have more to do with poverty than race and the policies that contribute to poverty are pushed by the very same party that represents themselves as champions of the poor. If this is about poverty and crime it is also by extension about the politics that help to maintain an entire class of people that are living relatively comfortably in poverty here in the US.
Furthermore, it is impossible to remove politics from the equation when the president injects himself, his opinion, and his justice department into a racially charged situation without knowing the facts. It's not even as if this is the first time he has done it. This would not be as a political of a situation as it is if politicians had refrained from voicing their opinions and let the justice system work. The president, ag, state and federal representatives, as well as well known race baiters that all share the same political ideology have stoked the fires and created an expected outcome regardless of what the facts and evidence have proven to show.
You erroneously believe that a policy alone can improve or doom a person's life.

Nowhere did i state nor does my post imply that. What it does state is that policy can make living in poverty easier than it should be. That in turn cultivates a climate in which crime can thrive. Policy is a contributing factor, and one party's policies clearly have not created the upward mobility they were designed to, but rather have limited mobility.
Living easily in poverty is an oxymoron. There is nothing easy about it.

No, you want to see real poverty come on down here where I am. To these people the poor in the US live like kings. Like I said, poverty is relative.

Also, learn what an oxymoron is.

No. We fully know what poverty is. We see it on TV all the time in 3rd world hell holes. Being poor is America is like hitting the lottery in those places.

Define poverty
It is a paradigm in which little to zero resources or safety nets are available for basic survival needs... No one in this country is in that paradigm....No one. Are there people that by their own ignorance in dire straits? Sure. That aint my fcking problem. The programs and resources are available. Hell...entire generations of people live fine without working a fcking day in their lives.
