I've been this way for a while. When he comes on any sports talk show, I either turn it down or change the channel. Its just a kick to the stomach to see what this program has become.

But I did win some $$ on the Wichita game and last night.

I hate that we've come to this point. I've been a JP fan all along and still admire him immensely as a person but I'm starring to question his impact on the program. It's not like we didn't know we were losing our PG's last season or that we've needed a true big for years now. I hope he can right the ship because I do admire his integrity. It's not looking like he has what it takes as an X's and O's coach yet though and he's had plenty of time to hone that key aspect of his skill set. I dare say Cal or someone like Dana Kirk would have had this team firing on all cylinders by now. I'm not sure if it's time for him to move on but it is time to stop avoiding that conversation.

Baylor has really good players, they are really well coached and they run good stuff.

This is a process. We will get better.

Winning is not a birthright.

Time for some course correction

CoMe gIt U sOmE Indiana St!!!

I hope we beat Indiana State. I have several friends who went there and I really don't want to listen to their crap.

Every time you don't understand something about our basketball program, just remember this:

Josh Pastner.

That tells you all you need to know.

Everything else is irrelevant.

Folks. It's just basketball. No need to get this riled up.
The really important sport is up and running,
so we can stop hanging our hat on an "also ran" like basketball.
I mean, we did that with our 11 racquetball NCs, and look what that got us...
Zilch.

Nov & Dec of '07 with Derrick Rose playing wild would beg to differ.

You mean on the 38-2 team that went to the national championship game? The team ranked number 1 in the country in Nov. and Dec.?

I have talked to coaches whose kids who went to his camp who came away thinking wtf when pastner discussed his defensive system. They said they have never heard anything like it

I have been trying to figure out our defense for years. That used to be staple and huge part of our team.

Not sure about all cylinders 4 games in. Kirk used to whole sale substitute when the starting 5 would get lazy or disengaged. Cal made the team stay home from Thanksgiving several years and we used to say "wait until Camp Cal." The difference is we had enough talent to over come bad games. Rose took half a year to become the polished player the one year he was here despite incredible talent.

The issue is going to be keeping this team together while they struggle.
