I didn't know that about UAB softball.

I didn't know it either but I assume there were other women's sports as well

I imagine every other coach at UAB has their resumes circulating right now.

When Marla is ready to retire from softball...I would love her to have a shot at Athletic Director if she were interested.

A 40 win season last year, with a trip to the NCAA Super Regionals. Final Ranking 16/17. Four straight NCAA's.

Marla is a two time C-USA coach of the year.

...and it was she who gave me my "We are for Birmingham and We are for UAB" shirt. She's a good Blazer, and it hurt my heart to know that her career would take her elsewhere if the BoT has its way with us.

Keep Fighting. She will be.

Strong, passionate, courageous, non-compromising...Not as long as these bastards are in power, but if a significant change is effected, and UAB could get some equal representation, she'd have my vote faster than you can say "Go Blazers" if I had any say in the matter.

Marla also is heavily involved in her community.

She was the PTA president at our school last year & helps out in functions like fall festivals, etc.

This is very weird! Why would the basketball coach, softball coach, and even the football coach make public statements in favor of football and it's positive impact on the university while the AD says very little. He is their boss this is wild wild west stuff!

That is the Marla I know. She is among the strongest coaches at UAB.

With the way the coaches are being censored, I hope this doesn't come back to bite her.

They would be wise to stay away from her.
