I hate to say it but I liked the BCS better. At least there was a wildcard factor. This "CFP" removes all doubt. ALL HAIL THE SUPREME FIVE!!!
Ps. My apologies I'm a little pissed off
Pss. That may become my signature
They can't just omit anyone from the G5 conferences, they have to pick a G5 team for that one slot (plus, they have to pick the top G5 conference for an extra payout). It's in the contracts and framework in plain language. Unless, of course, they want to get sued like no one has been sued before and have the IRS finally set loose on their asses.
My point is simply that they consider the "G5" to be lesser and no matter who they consider worthy will be accepted as some sort of charity case who can't lick the boots so even the weakest "power" team
Ps. Still pissed

Didn't say you did. But your statement summed it up. Unless you want to retract your statement which you quoted.

I imagine they have no intent of including Marshall, regardless of how it finishes its season.
GN, I may be remembering incorrectly but I don't even think the language says "highest ranked G5 champion." Just that one of the G5 champs must be designated. Do I think they would skip over one G5 champ who is in their rankings for another who's not? No. It's their list so they can work it however they like and that would make no sense. But, technically, it's possible as it's 100% in the hands of the committee.
It is the highest G5 rank champion. Don't be surprise to see Colorado State ranked next Tuesday in the Committee's poll. But Colorado State cannot go to the Access Bowl if they are not the MWC Champions. The Access Bowl slot is designated for the conference champion of a G-5 conference.

This sounds a little more understanding. Marshall isnt ranked, but if they finish as undefeated C-USA champs then they have a better chance of getting in the access bowl. But they are not ranked.

No Marshall is not ranked which is why another posted stated if no G-5 champion is ranked the committee will pick the G-5 champion they feel is deserving of the slot. My gut tells me the committee has a ranking that extends beyond the Top 25 but they not releasing it.
I think it is pretty clear cut. Boise plays Utah St at home next Saturday. If Boise wins then Colorado St is out of contention for the Access Bowl. If that happens and Marshall wins out, Marshall will get the Access Bowl slot. If Marshall loses, then all hell will break loose.
