That's okay. I think the team would rather go to the Bahamas or Boca Raton anyway.

Yea. Conference Championships are meaningless nowadays. Who wants to be the best when you can be the third best?

Really? I don't remember anyone celebrating anything? I remember everyone going through the scenarios of how the Broncos could win the MAC West. The Broncos needed UT to lose to BGSU (Toledo is not losing to Eastern) and BGSU laid an egg. The chances of WMU winning the West is less than .00000000000001% because even if WMU beats NIU, UT would have to not show up against Eastern to lose.

Detroit is where MAC teams go to play for a Conference championship before their bowl game. Remember?

Yes, I know, but since Toledo is not losing to Eastern no matter what happens in Friday's game, WMU is not going to Detroit. So it's just a matter of which bowl game they are going to.

Yes, this was already established, but thanks for repeating what was said earlier. If you would rather go to a bowl in Florida than go to the MACC, then your priorities as a WMU fan are messed up. Obviously you're just saying what any loser would say... 'We didn't want to go anyway.'

John, you are overstepping your bounds here by stating that we have a .000000000001% (give or take some 0s) chance to win the championship.
Todd has already negotiated exclusive rights for all of WMU's percentage chances on anything. If you want to get into his game then you are going to have to wait until his contract runs out. 05-nono

Nothing but respect for Northern Illinois...especially the road record in recent years. Very much looking forward to the Friday game in Kalamazoo. Hoping that everyone will turn out so we can see a large crowd on National TV for the MAC as I think this will be a game between two teams that know how to win at this stage of the season. A battle of wills.

I am with John here as I do not understand why you are not able to have a conversation with someone that is not drinking the NIU kool aid? We welcome Ken's comments to the Stampede board, however, I will admit that he does go over the top sometimes.

Even if your general board like George W Bush in a 2004 campain, "town hall" meeting, where you will field questions and criticism so long as everyone in the town hall are registered republicans, then the title of this thread is a lie.

+1 here.
Win or lose I will be hitting as many of the local breweries as possible - Even with drinking just one beer at each, I have yet to be able to make to all of them in one day, however I will try my best. 03-drunk

Of coarse you take a fellow WMU fans side. God forbid you or John go back and read the other threads with certain WMU fans coming here to tell us Huskies that we are the worst 9 win team ever and make fun of a team that was winning their game. You guys only came here to have gentlemanly conversations and not to stir the pot. Yeah, right. Also, you ignore the Huskies fans who have said all along that WMU is the better team and call us childish for not bowing before the mighty Broncos. Now that I think of it, Ken does that too. Must be a Michigan thing.

Well, I think it's one of our main fans who was talking smack to kick things off. I know I got knocked around for (merely & honestly) saying we feared @CMU (look at our record @CMU) more than NIU. Yeah, fans aren't fearing NIU, as NIU is not as tough as they were the last several years. BUT they do have 9 wins... they know how not to lose, and to pull it out. Point being, they don't dominate anyone -- so nothing to fear as far as a boat getting knocked over.

With our main RB not going to be able to play all that well (he played hurt to only continue his ankle issue; will need a "bowl break" to get to 100%) -- it will be a close game. We're more explosive, NIU is more clean & mistake-free. If WMU doesn't turn the ball over like we did against CMU -- we'll win. If we do, NIU will win. I think it's basically going to come down to something as Simple as that.

Not really. If both teams play up to their potential NIU wins. NIU is deeper, a lot deeper. WMU is an injury away from falling off. NIU has lost their top player on both sides of the ball and continues to chug along.

03-lmfao My bad Willy. My point was that even if the Broncos beat NIU Friday, our MACC game lives rest on the shoulders on the 2nd to worst football team in the FBS. Sure, we all would love to go to Detroit for the MACC but there is no way on God's green earth that Eastern is beating Toledo. And I get accused of being delusional and saying something like "oh, we didn't want to go to the championship game anyway. " I'm not delusional, making excuses or ignorant of what's going on. Just being realistic.
