I like quality over quantity. As has been posted on here Oakland lost a lot ofjmm talent from last years team and the only reason people like you are so excited is because they played Iowa st tough.why are you so much like steve?

And we didn't lose anyone from last year's team? Oakland returned more than we did. In fact, you said this before the game:

Quote:Sounds about right can't replace 8 Seniors with JCSand transfers with much hope of winning. Its been tried by bBarnes, boone and Ramseywith very sad results.
h

So you said we didn't havemuch hope of winning. Then we won, and you still aren't happy. Gotta agree with Aaron...I'm not sure why you goo the games if you're this upset after a nice win.
Not unhappy with the win but not with all the all the hyperbolae from this board. I am very happy with win any home win brings the fans which is great! But most of you on here are starting to sound a lot like, not to worry it will get better Steve during the boone years!

01-wingedeagle

Fans here are optimistic and hopeful about this season. Please don't begrudge our optimism and hopes.

We were optimistic under Braun too.

What is your point?

Optimism and hope are two very different things and should not be used in the same sentence07-coffee3

Easily weak defense and inconsistent offense, and I hate dunks it's nothing more than showing off most times even earl who could have dunked if he wanted too didn't.

If you thought our offense was inconsistent last night, then I'm curious as to how you thought it was over the last 3 years. We had a couple of droughts, but they didn't last long. Shot 49% as a team, which is pretty darn good, especially for a Murphy squad.

Who doesn't like dunks? It's the highest percent shot you can take, if you can do it. Now you're just being ridiculous. It''s pretty common now...this isn't the 70's with the Lew Alcindor rule.

Nothing eletrifies a home arena like some thunderous dunks! I was a fan of Phi Slama Jamma, Florida Gulf Coast University, Terry Tyler, Jerome Lane at Pitt, and now...SEND IT IN KARRINGTON!!!!

I hate them give me a 45% 15 foot shooter or a good lay up player that goes to the free throw line half the time any day that is your bread and butter offense. Dunks account for less than 5% of your offense at best.07-coffee3

You think Earl could have dunked? You might be one of the few who saw him play EMU basketball more than I did, but I never saw that kind of leaping ability in him.

BTW: Did you guys notice that former EMU guard Kahlil Felder's son is a find player for Oakland? His picture is on the OU web site. He looks a lot like his Dad. He's the guard Ward got his huge slam over last night.

I don't recall why Felder left EMU. He played for Ben Braun and he seemed to do well.

Why do you guys even argue with superfan ... his post are of no value, are grammatically on the third grade level and present no actual point.

You may be on to something! And apparently he enjoys a nice layup, ala Bob Cousy...he should check out the pickup games at the Y.

Dunks are much more than showing off. They are an extreme energy play that can rally a comeback or put the nail in the coffin. They get the crowd into the game or keep the crowd buzzing. This is how it is at all levels. Saying that dunks are nothing more than showing off is just way off base and ignorant.

Yes he could dunk they use to sneak into the rec after hours and scrimmage on their own.07-coffee3

Good thing "the dunk" is not meant to serve solely you super, there are many other extremely important pieces that are connected to it in the game of basketball.
