Do you people even the watch or just read the stats? Our offense about what it was last year's losey goosey while our zone defense is so lose we might as well play man to man. And it doesn't matter because we could win 25 games and if don't win the MAC tournament we only get a second rate invite to a second rate tournament.

We talked about a team which would have more offensive weapons but lack the great interior defense (read that Riley).

We have three big dudes in the middle. Two scoring weapons in Ward and Lee. Three PGs who can play in this conference with Talley being the wily veteran. And two PFs who can get points and rebounds; basically role players.

I know I've posted that this team is probably 10 or 11 players deep (players who can play in the MAC).

10 or 11 MAC players really that not saying much about the MAC.

Offense! This is what we all wanted. If we can continue to score like this AND win, people will get behind this team. Nice win...how does Oakland keep finding those pure shooters though? Hooper was unconcious.

I agree, Bob. A full student section tonight. Great to get an exciting win like this over a program that people respect in the area, right in front of hundreds I students.

#1 on SportsCenter tonight. I'm assuming that's a first for us. Good for Karrigton.

why do you go to the games if you're this salty after a win? our team isnt perfect by a long shot, but this game was exciting.

I like quality over quantity. As has been posted on here Oakland lost a lot of talent from last years team and the only reason people like you are so excited is because they played Iowa st tough.why are you so much like steve?

Actually, Oakland has developed into a rivalry of sorts (more so then say CMU) because in recent years the games have been good ones (because of Bader-ball).

A quality win no doubt about that. Lee showed he is as good as he wants to be and can take over a game. Shooting much improved. We have a tough back to back weekend coming up but yes those of you who said our bench looked good appear to be correct so far. Alvano came back to earth but I expect ups and downs.

My comment is:

"Why are you (Karrington Ward) so much like Mike (Michael Jordan)?" 04-bow

BTW, no big shout outs yet for Ajayi?

6 points, 8 rebounds and a block.

He never is going to have range, but if he gets some garbage points or a dunk (not a Ward dunk, though, Lol) he will be a valuable member of this team.

Lekan has 9 points in two games. Last year he had 13 points for the season.

RE: Game Day: Oakland
So if I can put 2 and 2 together (this article from MLive's Michael Nizolek plus our recruiting commentary).

OU wins the recruiting battles. We win the games... 04-cheers

"We play Western, Eastern and then Detroit, so all those are huge games, red-starred on our schedule," Kampe said, adding that Detroit gets an added circle since they are now both in the Horizon League.

Eastern Michigan's win Monday gave it a 10-5 advantage in the all-time series.

"They wanted to win the game, and we didn't play a game," Kampe said. "That's the honest truth."

And we didn't lose anyone from last year's team? Oakland returned more than we did. In fact, you said this before the game:

Quote:Sounds about right can't replace 8 Seniors with JCSand transfers with much hope of winning. Its been tried by bBarnes, boone and Ramseywith very sad results.

So you said we didn't have much hope of winning. Then we won, and you still aren't happy. Gotta agree with Aaron...I'm not sure why you go to the games if you're this upset after a nice win.

Not unhappy with the win but not with all the all the hyperbolae from this board. I am very happy with win any home win brings the fans which is great! But most of you on here are starting to sound a lot like, not to worry it will get better Steve during the boone years!

Fans here are optimistic and hopeful about this season. Please don't begrudge our optimism and hopes.

We were optimistic under Braun too.

What is your point?

This was a very entertaining game against a very important rival with some good players: Petros, Felder, Hooper, McCune. We scored 89! How could anyone b**ch about this game?
