While I am the board's resident anti-Memphis trash talker, I disagree with this statement. I think it's a much closer game if you play it today, but that's as far as I'd go. I really can't see any justification for having Memphis 4th either. They've earned the top spot IMHO.

Appreciate the sentiment, and (even though it's not my fault) I apologize that some of our resident wackos have flamed your board all weekend. I promise, our fan base is mostly good natured and sane. Ok... semi-pseudo sane.

2. UC - Where is the defense? Where is the coaching... (idiotic 4th down decision to go for it inside own 40 yard line...and it's a pitch?)
UC Reminds me of an old WAC team. They have to score at least 42 points to have a shot at winning... (in all fairness they often do score buckets of points)
3. UCF - We still can't run the damn ball... Still struggle in the redzone... WE may be top shelf in this conference but this is noty a team that could beat more thean the a copule of the worst P5 teams.
4. ECU - This team had magic... but seems to be tired now.
5. Houston - How did they lose to a bad Tulane team at home? Is TDECU stadium cursed...
6. Temple - This is a decent team.... It is a two game season now. Can Owls beat Tulane on the road to get to a bowl? Yes, I hope.
7. USF - Beat an awful SMU team by 1 point... Taggert has to beat UCF this year to justiry his continueing existence.....
8. Tulane - a complete no show against Memphis a week after there biggest win. Is this team on the right path...and is the QB of the future even on the roster....
9. UConn - Good defense. Hopefully a strong finish.
10. Tulsa - Tulsa owned UCF. Had won 4 straight. UCF beat them into the ground. it is not becuase the Knights are so great...it is becuase there cuirrent coach has run the program into the ground... he has to go.
11. SMU - Maybe the UAB approach is what SMU should consifer. Ford Satdium would make a great soccer venue.

Not sure where the Memphis "drop off" is. AAC record ->

at Cincinnati 41-14 W
Houston 24-28 L
at SMU 48-10 W
Tulsa 40-20 W
at Temple 16-13 W
at Tulane 38-7 W

UC would manhandle us if they played us again. Their defense is on another level right now

Who would of thought Memphis football first in AAC 04-jawdrop 04-cheers

With Fuente as your head coach, I knew (two years ago) this day would come... Being good comes with a price, Memphis fans better hope Florida don't come calling.

If Fuente continues to succeed, he will leave. Maybe it's Florida, maybe it's somewhere else. That's just the reality of college football at this level. Few know that better than UC fans. Memphis fans just need to accept it as fact and hope their AD can make a hire that keeps the momentum going.

Memphis has two big aces up their sleeves. Not saying it would prevent him from leaving, but let's just say he would a have serious incentive not to.

If memphis continues to have a decent football program, to go with good tv markedt and great basketball program they would make on hell of an addition to the Big 12. Cincy and Memphis. Fuente will be an attractive hire after this offseasoon..or next offseason...but Good God the Tigers are as boring as UCF this season. Memphis plays funadamentally sound boring football.

2 big aces? What; Fuentes loves Bar B Que...and he dates co-eds? Not a whole lot can talk a man out of coaching an SEC team...

While I agree our BBQ is the best on the planet and our coeds are hot, those are not the two aces.

Boring depends on which side of the stadium you're sitting on if you're going through your first winning season in awhile. :)
