As far as our program goes, I like where it's heading.

It takes a few paragraphs to express how bad it is sharing a conference with you. I hope you'll forgive me for being literate - I know what you're probably used to on the Memphis board.

No, being literate has nothing to with it. It just shows how your "panties are in wad."

By all means, please continue. You're entertaining me.

Wish I could say the same. But by all means, keep trying.

Point Cincinnati

Hahaha....thanks. Carry on.

Also, like UAB was for us in old C-USA, we're the closest thing to a "rival" you've got in conference. You can think you're above us if you want (we certainly felt that way about the Blazers) but for now, in conference, we're it. Of course, I happen to think the gap is much smaller in this case than it was between us and the Blazers, but who knows.

Trust us, we wish Louisville was back, too. They're slightly more fun to hate, and there's certainly a lot more tradition there. It's a longer-standing rivalry for us. It's a shame that we had poor leadership over the years so we couldn't keep up with their progress (or yours, for that matter). But we have better folks at the helm now, so hopefully better times are ahead. Lots of progress already, on-field and off.

Was hard for the Tigers to develop rivalries in Cusa 2.0--we blew everyone out in basketball and everyone blew us out in football.

I consider Memphis a rival. Not on the level of Xavier, but a rival nonetheless. Also, I don't have anything against Memphis or their fans -- or any other fan base for that matter. I do enjoy smack talk though.

Ha, aside from the DeAngelo/Wimperine/Gotskowski years, that's exactly right.

I don't even start the flame. Actually I really don't care about Cincy. Actually you started to flame Memphis fans when we lost to Houston.

Yep, you're just an innocent victim in all this. In fact, the UC fans dragged you over to our board and made you troll every thread there. Let me guess, your mail in degree from Memphis was in acting?

Are you seriously calling that trolling. You guys were bagging on us after the Temple game and you guys started saying that Memphis wouldn't have beat Cincy if Cincy didn't play Ohio State the week before. I just said it we played Ole Miss and we came ready. Then you guys proceeded to be obnoxious about it and call it our Super Bowl. I said being 19-13 isn't our Super Bowl. That isn't trolling that's facts.

Time and time again, you continue to prove the Super Bowl comment true. The Memphis loss reflected poorly on our program; by contrast, it's the banner win on your season. And that says everything about where our two programs are in the college football landscape. Sorry, but thems just facts.

Other fans can speak for themselves, but I don't know that Memphis-Cincy football now or in the past has ever been much of a rivalry game if at all.

Basketball became a rivalry to some extent back in the Cusa 1.0 days with Huggins because something or other always seemed to be at stake.

Again leading 19-13 does not translate to Super Bowl

That "Super Bowl" comment absolutely refers to the whole fan base. It's not Ramen's Super Bowl you're talking about, lol.

And if you believe that, then you don't understand our fan base very well. You don't rev up our fan base. Louisville, Tennessee and Ole Miss do.

And even this season, a lot of us were much more jacked about playing UCLA and Ole Miss, than Cincinnati. And you guys try hard just to ignore us, so you sure as hell aren't our Super Bowl.

I do think we can make this a good rivalry in the conference. That's a long way from a Super Bowl, lol.

Spot on analysis. Look, I hope it does grow into a rivalry, but talking s*** with a bunch of fans on a message board doesn't equal a rivalry. Memphis has had a fantastic season and has exceeded expectations in football. There's no question we've had a down year. Let's see how this develops over the next few seasons before we declare a bona-fide rivalry.

So let me get this straight: your fan base defines your season - your first winning season in seven years - by losses to UCLA and Ole Miss, but not by its win over UC?
