My box score is showing 282 and the Cajuns had over 200 in the first half. So I thought the d in second half played well. A couple of mistakes and our terrible OLine cost us the game.

You could not establish a running game which made you one dimensional. You were able to pass at will against us which makes me wonder why you kept trying to run it. Your boys played their hearts out but the better team won.

Agreed. ULL was the better team. We played with heart and stayed in the game. I was proud of our guys.

Congrats Cajuns. You guys have a heck of a team and earned my respect tonight. You guys ran at will on us and completely shut down our run game. Great game as usual between our two schools. We left it all on the field and the best team won. Congrats and good luck the rest of the year. See you in Lafayette next year.

I know you thought your team could stop the Cajuns run game, and I said you couldn't. You thought it was smack and it wasn't! Good luck against GaSouthern.

You were right! I was wrong. Very impressive. You guys were, big, physical and ran much better against us than LSU or A&M. Your run game was great, run defense awesome, but pass defense horrid. Good luck the rest if the year.

ULL has a good team this year and I enjoyed the game you'll had today. Our coaches knew they lacked speed in the defensive backfield and went after it.

I think CD a had 7 carries for one yard, and Pete had 472 passing so they went with what was working but Just couldn't protect Thomas enough to win. This season has been real frustrating for us warhawk fans we really can look back and say one or two things here and we win in nearly all of our games. Great game and congrats to the Cajuns, maybe we can help with that co champ problem.

I've had a few so my math could be off but I don't think it's that off. Broadway and Harris had 227 themselves, reed with 8, riles 16,McGuire 48 fusilier 36 so it's 335 actually.
My box score is showing fusiliers big play as a pass so that's where we differ I think your is right because I think I remember that play being a handoff

Fusilier and Riles were both pass plays.

If either drop the exchange it's a fumble not an incomplete pass, that's a run IMO and my box score says they were runs.

Those jet sweeps are forward passes. The idea is similar to a screen pass where it is caught behind the line and the running back gets all of the yardage running. Doesn't really make sense but that's how it is scored.

A screen pass is thrown over hand...not tossed under hand, if rile or fuse drop those exchanges it would have been fumbles.

Jet sweeps are handed off, they are indeed running plays. On those plays the balls were flipped to Fuslier and Riles, therefore they are passes. Similar plays, different delivery of the football.

I don't care how they are recorded, they would have been fumbles...how can it be a pass that if you drop it, it's not an incomplete pass. I've seen box scores with it both ways. Either way we ran all over their defense, which was my original point.

If the ball if flipped backwards behind the QB, it is a fumble. If the ball is flipped forward, it is a pass. I haven't seen it scored any other way unless the officiating crew got it wrong.

That's what is scarey, when you get a team to be 1-dimensional and your defense still can't stop them. Our defensive line saved the game.

Seems like a perfect game for rivalry week.

They usually do play the last game. Last year it was the 2nd to last game.

90, I know we use to have our differences, but you have been nothing but classy after the game. Also, has anyone ever noticed that this isn't that chippy a game between the players?

Thought both teams handled themselves well. WR Rashon Ceasar told several Cajun athletes after the game not to worry, ULM was going to take care of GaSouthern.

I atually think there is a lot of respect between both teams. Coach Berry even said so at our luncheon before the game.

Maybe the Coaching staffs and athletes are at a place now, perhaps the fans someday will follow? Probably not, but at least there is some respect for each program.

Agreed.

Went to the game last Saturday, walked around the tailgating area and was treated real well. Was fed (great food) and offered plenty adult beverages... They even loved my Louisville hat..
