Coach Carey Sux: All He Does Is WIN!
I am sick of this rebuilding year. Only 8 wins thus far. If the coaching staff keeps up this incompetence, the Huskies may only win 10+ games again this year. Almost makes me long for the first few years of Coach Novak.
On a more serious note, I never really saw this before but it seems just a hare short of brilliant, but keeping Cam shut down most of the first half sure allows for a battering cam at the end when needed.
Go Huskies!

Except in the post season.
I hope he can change that this year.
I think his contract states that he has to pay back lost TV commercial revenue if he does not use all of his timeouts.

Still the case for our ex-coach up in Minnesota. Hasn't won a postseason game since he became an FBS head coach.

Yes it is truly amazing. All these horrible coaches have led once lowly NIU to more wins since 2010 than all but one BCS school. Imagine if we had good coaches: we would have been undefeated with a sixty game winning streak and would be approaching our 5th straight national championship.

RE: Coach Carey Sux: All He Does Is WIN!
I'm terrified he's going to Indiana after this year. With no clear in house replacement, I'm worried we're watching the last few games of "this era" of Huskie football.
Unless of course they bring in somebody who has ties to this coaching staff/system like Canada, Tuke, or to a lesser extent either of the Minnesota coordinators. I don't see why Frazier would go down that road when he has no ties to any of those guys (although Canada he does).

Neither Limegrover nor Claeys is going to leave Kill at any point. They've stayed with him this long, they'll be with him forever. Tuke just doesn't have the HC experience at this point.
After all he's done so far, I've got confidence in Frazier's ability to select the next HC. He just seems like he'd have a sense for who would be the right guy.

Hope it doesn't impact our projected great 2015 recruiting class.

I have been thinking the same thing about IU...or ISU.
Canada would have to be the best guy for our consistency. I just hope we could keep Ward and Kane.

this board is naturally bipolar. 3 weeks ag we had fire carey posts, now we are nervous going to indiana. in my opinion, he is a great offensive coordinator, an OK head coach, and has a cocky personality. But, we definitely need continuity.

Would Canada even consider leaving NC State to come here? (If this situation happens to come up)
I think he would be the best "internal" option we could hire to continue what we have going IF Carey happened to be poached away after the season.

I have considered the same thing. And while it worries me, anyone doing the hiring should see the inconsistency of his gameplay decisions and know he isn't quite ready.
Likewise, you have to wonder if guys like Hoke, Hazell and Beckman (even Doeren to a lesser extent) have done a number on raiding the MAC for coaches for a while.

I don't think the offense or defense is that good on this team but you can't argue with 8-2. He's getting the most out of his players.
Well on our way to a 5th straight 10 win season. Hopefully one day soon we're a destination where coaches want to be instead of a stepping stone.
You hear that AAC get us while we're hot!!!!

It really doesn't matter what people's opinons on Carey on. When you consider what they lost, who is hurt, how young you are, and they're 8-2 he's going to be a canidate for bigger jobs. As we all say with Fleck hysteria on here, everyone wants one of their own coaching them if it's possible.
Canada is probably the best/most realistic option if you want to keep the systems the same. As I said, he does have ties to Frazier as well.
Niemann, Cole, Kane, and Tripodi (I think) we're all here when Canada was here Doeren's first year. Niemann would probably go with Carey you would think. Cole might? Maybe you hang onto Kane by making him the defensive coordinator. Who knows, we're obviously getting ahead of ourselves here.

I don't think so. Guys like Carey, PJ, and Babers will surely get calls for higher gigs in the near future.

I'm honestly not gonna worry about it because, quite frankly, there's no point at the moment. Worry about Ohio and getting the next win.

What if Doeren gets canned at NC State? A friend of mine that lives down there, told me DD hasn't made many friends with the boosters in Raleigh. I read rumors that he might leave for Kansas before he sees the door as well.
Let the coaching carousel begin!

He's not going to get canned. They hate him down here, but unless they boner up the Wake game this weekend they're going to make a bowl.
And Canada has been coaching forever and never had a chance to be a head coach. He would leave State to be NIU's head coach in a heartbeat. NIU is one of the if not the best mid major job in the country right now. Outside of guys like Chad Morris and Narduzzi, almost any coordinator would take the job.
What if NIU used Carey's buyout to pay Fleck's?

I don't think one person has made both of those types of posts in the past few weeks.
I am not saying Carey is a bad or great head coach...but I think any Midwest P5 team looking for a head coach this year will look hard at Carey.
