Ga Southern Ranked #36 in AP poll
Win out, go to a bowl and win, and we have a shot at the top 25 given our two very close losses to ACC teams.

{Yawn} Been there done that. You won't get ranked because you didn't actually win those games. Will one of you weirdos south of I-10 tell him?

When we played Kent State in a bowl 2 years ago they were 11-1 and ranked 25th. You would definitely have to win out to have a shot.

They dropped out after we beat them with a record of 11-2.

After the last two games that I have seen GaSo play they are 3rd best in the Belt.

Not my sentiments, but in line with what I'm thinking.

Depending on bounces, Southern would have the best chance to beat the Cajuns and lose to stAte.

stAte's speed on defense and passing attack match up well with Southern. The eagles' strengths on defense match up well against the cajuns.

We may have seen a three-way tie for first if everyone played round-robin. I wish we had a CG.

I want a CG, but I'm not in a hurry to pick up a twelfth school. I wish that either us or UL got a shot at Ga Southern.

That's funny. I was thinking the same thing about Lafayette.

First of all Lafayette is not in the SBC, next thing I'm not a GS fan but why all the hate heck if the Cajuns or State had gotten a vote their fan base would be ecstatic we can't do anything about the schedule so I thought we were all in line with any kind of positive pub for the conference was good. I like any other Cajun fan would love to settle the issue on the field but no one can take away what GS has accomplished on the field.

Yep, we sure looked worse then Southern playing New Mexico State.

Coach Doug Martin NMST

"Other than LSU, this was the first team that we have played where there was a dramatic difference in the talent level," Martin said."

Seems some Cajun fans are too jealous to recognize a good thing when they see it. Your new FCS add has a shot at breaking the top 25. Looking forward to November 22nd. 04-cheers

GS is terrible. They don't have good depth, offense is 'gimmicky' and their defense looks average at best. I don't even understand how they are in the Sun Belt. Maybe they can be competitive once they get some decent FBS recruits.

Not really. The Cajuns are the most physical team on both sides of the football. I got Navy this week over Southern, especially at home.

southern is very physical on offense too, just stAte has better speed to close gaps on their rushing attack.

Astate tried to close the gaps on the Cajuns, didn't work. We stuck the ball up their backsides and would do the same against Southern.

Well, I'm liking GaSo and I'm thinking maybe they should be the Belt's third bowl rep, even if they don't beat Navy ( which they should ).

At the same time, GaSo's best win is over the Sagarin rated 123 USA.

Even Navy is about the bottom third of FBS at Sagarin 84.

Ranking GaSo higher than their Sagarin 74 is not logical.

Cheers. I dont really understand the hate either. Last year I was pulling for you guys to break into the top25.
If you guys win out I imagine you will be right up there with us. Better the conference does, the better we all do.

For the other people out there. 2 weeks ago you would post polls showing us below you. Now that has changed and its "well we've been there done that" or "your still not that good". Thats fine but we still are getting the Ws, I dont see you getting votes THIS year, and surprise this isnt the first time we have received votes either...thats right we got votes back in the FCS(2011). So whats your case again?

For the Cajun who is pulling for Navy over us... ****you. What happened to pulling for conference mates playing out of conference teams. Why pull for them when a win makes the Sun Belt look better.

Technically they aren't ranked #36 in the poll, they just happened to have one person rank them as #25 hence the 1 point (and the mention below the poll).

And we played the worst game of the season, against a team we don't match up well with.

We match up far better with Southern than you guys. They are not going to pound the ball up the middle, they're going to go out wide and use their speed, which is the area where we match up with everyone.

There is no transitive property of football. Some teams just match up well with others.
