5-0 in conference and it feels like we're EMU. Really strange...and we're in great position to get to the MACC. I'm afraid injuries and questionable play calling are going to be too much for this group to overcome.

Well, we should all be used to this by now. The Emporer has no clothes. Thank you, Mike O'Brien for not only too quickly hiring Campbell but giving him an undeserved contract extension that makes it all but impossible to do anything but stomach a few more under-achieving seasons. Bring on basketball.

I'm going to paraphrase again here but...come on guys the rockets are bowl eligible. Undefeated in the mac, they control their own destiny, the weather was bad for them and that was the best qb to ever strap on a helmet. I think I've got it all covered lol.

I wonder how the true freshman QB looks. Quentin?

Team keeps winning.
I don't think they are great. I think other teams in previous seasons underachieved but were superior in talent.
But it will feel good to be back in a championship game.
Its been too long.

Now go out and do it.

Wish I shared your confidence. If Woodside's out I think we lose the next 2 and that's pretty much the season. Julian just has way to much to make up.

I didn't make a prediction.
Simply saying any way we scratch our way in, play ugly our way in, or lose the next 2 and get lucky with somebody else losing and back our way in, I will be content that this team deserved it because the rules say so.

I think we stink. But whatever.

Ya got me on your last point. Can't disagree there. We may be the worst team with a winning record. Sure glad we don't have to play Western again.

I'm afraid so. Granted, it was Julian's first significant action, but it would appear that Woodside was more ready to take over for Ely than Julian was for Woodside.

I'm glad we don't have to play ANYBODY again. Hopefully it doesn't rain when we go to Ypsi!

That's for sure. Without Woodside, Hunt & Mancz, we're doomed vs. NIU. Hope they heal up quickly.

This game should have been over in the first quarter, and completely out of reach at the half. Don't give me a "weather" excuse--we settled for FGs on 3 possesions. If the score had. Even 28-0 at half like we should have been capable of against Kent, then Woodside maybe isn't even playing in the 2nd half to get injured. Championship teams don't let lesser teams hang around, shift momentum and gain confidence.

I'm guessing that's hsppened to every team in the MAC this year so I guess we won't be having a champion in 2014.

If ever there was a season when the MAC shouldn't crown a champ...

It'd be this season...there's only ONE team in the MAC East with a winning record this point in the season.

I sure Woodside's experience from last year helped him to become better accustomed to the speed of the game. Unfortunately Julian has not had any opportunity (except for a series in the UNH game) to gain any real game experience yet so that the game can come to him. Hopefully Woodside & Mancz are ready to go next week at NIU, but if not at least Julian will be getting some reps during practice this week and UT still has a running game even with Hunt having to limp off the field every other play.

So far, so good, but UT really, really , really needs to beat NIU next week.

I still believe we have the talent to be successful every year but this current coaching staff is the primary reason why week to week I have low confidence in us winning. The play calling and decision making tonight was atrocious...

You're not kidding.
But what I am so sick and tired of is settling for field goals when we get into scoring position.
Luckily we have a player who is infinitely capable of making those kicks through the uprights or else we would often come away scoreless.

Can't argue with you there. Pretty sad excuse for a football conference this year.

Haden said his brother in Cleveland watched the game on tv instead of attending. Smart guy.
