I was poking fun at our southern red headed step cousin. I have watched ULL play their last 2 tuesday night games and I was serious that they do look like a good team. I played for Tech in the late 80's and loved the USL vs. Tech games. If a opening in CUSA comes up I would love to renew the rivalry. Unlike most Tech fans, I also want us to play ULM every year. It should be more about having fun playing teams you actually know than markets. Playing NSU in the IBowl (State Fair Game) was great fun back in the day also.

This year is really crazy, Tech may have it best D ever so dont worry about the loss to us. You can return the favor next year when Diaz is on to bigger and better.

Diaz is the real deal! And no one thought Sokol was going to play that well after sitting out. Sometimes things come together quicker than expected and Tech has put together a good season thus far.

GSU should petition the NCAA to play ULL in the New Orleans bowl. Play it for the championship. Would be a good football game and good for the "Bolt" as you guys call it.

You can criticize Cajun fans for speaking their mind about the conference but here is my take and why it is deserved. Last year we beat A-State and shared the title with them I don't think its right but we went into the last two games needing one victory to be out right champions we failed so heck at two losses it's fair if three teams would have shared. We had our chance and blew it no excuses. But this year Cajuns and GaSo could go undefeated in conference (lots of football left to be played) and have to share the title at 8-0. Both teams would have done everything ask of them in the conference and not be the sole award winner for the hard work. If that happens I think both fan bases should be upset to not lose a conference game but share the title. The conference is making all of us the laughing stock of the G-5 world. If we both lose a game all bets are off then best records deserve to share.

No one likes to hear the truth! The fact of the matter is we are already the laughing stock of the G-5 world and our membership hasn't helped. Benson is a clown and most know it. We have a transition FCS program that is sitting at the top of the standings in its first year and could share or win the title outright. The fact that outside of ASU and UL whom are not on their schedule, no existing member seems capable of defeating them. We don't even care about basketball enough to host a conference basketball media day in New Orleans. So my friend, were are considered a joke right now by most standards.

Pac 12, Big 10, Big 12 have all had co-championships in the last decade...the latest in 2012. You act as if this is some new unique weirdness imposed by the Sun Belt against all football history. It is not. It is not making anyone a laughing stock any more than the Pac 12, Big 10, Big 12 schools were laughing stocks.

If the Cajuns and Georgia Southern win out they will both have earned championships. They will be no "less" champions than any sole championship won by any other team at any time.

And...if Georgia Southern wins sole championship there is no asterisk because they did not play the Cajun and stAte. Doesn't matter. If the Cajuns wins sole championship there is no asterisk because they did not play Georgia Southern. Doesn't matter.

I sometimes think you guys cannot be happy and have to find something to squash any potential joy.

If you get those rings...you WILL be conference champions and should allow yourselves to enjoy it.
