Though "Power Rankings" are normally not decided on that basis.
Actually, a number of didn't things that matter are not decided on that basis. For instance, it
is the Football Bowl subdivision ... Northern Illinois is bowl eligible, Bowling Green, Toledo, WMU and CMU each one win for bowl eligibility, and Kent, MiamiU and UMass ineligible for bowls.
In terms of wins, all of the 5/+ win schools are 3/+ wins in the conference, so I see it in 5 tiers:
1. Bowling Green, Toledo, NIU, CMU, WMU, internal power ranking to be determined during November MACtion.
2. Akron, even record, even conference record.
3. MiamiU, OhioU, UMass, Buffalo, Ball State. Internal "meh" ranking to be determined during November MACtion.
4. EMU.
5. Kent State. If they were a baseball team, they'd be bringing up players from the farm team for experience for next year.
