Just say "But honey, I'll be on TV! Just for you!!"

I think Marshall could make it to the Fiesta Bowl. I give it about a 50/50 chance ECU loses another game. On top of that Marshall plays an extra game against CUSA champs of the other division. If ECU has to squeeze out almost-losses and Marshall keeps winning 44-20 -- a 13-0 Marshall may seem a bit more favorable than a 11-1 ECU -- if a 7-5 UCF & 6-6 VaTech are their biggest wins, while also losing to a 6-6 South Carolina.

I'd rather have a Good MAC team play the 2nd best in CUSA, although CUSA champs get to Choose whatever Bowl.

I imagine Marshall would NOT choose that one (high flight costs), and instead play the 'biggest bowl' -- Heart of Dallas Bowl vs a B10 team.

Our Bowls in the MAC are: (1) Bahamas, (2) Alabama, (1) Florida, (1) Idaho -- all are far out there.

We have 2 CUSA, 2 SunBelt, and 1 MW team. Assuming Marshall would go with the B10 team and not ours, I would assume the "best" competitive bowl would be Idaho -- possibly facing off against Boise. That'd be interesting for NIU to do.

Florida (Boca Raton Bowl) would be good, though. More fun for flyers, and cheaper than Bahamas I would imagine for fans to go to -- playing a CUSA team (LA-Tech, Mid-Tennessee). :)

2011 Detroit traded their 2012 #1 pick for the 2011 GoDaddy #1 pick
2012 GoDaddy had #1 non-AQ pick and selected Kent St
2013 Detroit had #1 pick and selected BGSU
2014 GoDaddy should have #1 pick
2015 ...I have no idea what bowl gets the #1 pick.

Further, you probably fly into south Florida to connect to get there. If anyone has ever tried to fly to south Florida between Christmas and New Years, it is not cheap. And if you wait until December to book, it is even more expensive. Anyone fly to the Orange Bowl in 2013? I paid about $700 for one round trip ticket, two direct flights OHare to Ft Lauderdale. Definitely worth it for the once in a lifetime Orange Bowl, no way the wife lets me miss Christmas Eve.
You also need a passport to get in to the Bahamas.

The facilities are not very good in the Bahamas and it will be very hard to get the students there, i mean how do you think the MAC got it? I can see our staff looking to go to Boca in a heart beat though if its up to the MAC commissioner good luck the sucks and doesn't like us. I'm saving for a bowl because any bowl game is a good bowl game ask the 2003 team.

Lets go 1-0 this week. The Hardway. Go Huskies.

Its not just the MAC tie-in bowls, its every bowl besides the BCS ones and now the playoff ones, there is just no point.

RE: Bowl Projections
First of all, there is no longer this first pick thing. The league and ESPN Gods will sit and determine the matchups. Sites may request a team but there is no guarantee.

Next, everybody is getting antsy about the Bahamas Bowl.

Well, the second ESPN writer has NIU in Mobile vs S. Alabama; CBS also has us in Mobile vs UL Lafayette; Athelon puts NIU in Boca Raton vs FAU; Scout has the same thing and the Sporting News is guessing Boise vs Fresno State.

Don't put much of anything into any of it.

Does ESPN own the GO Daddy though? I don't think they do. The rest of the MAC bowls I believe so.

RE: Bowl Projections
These two are front runners but there is a lot of games left. You also must be a conference champion.
