RE: Marshall moves up to #23 AP, #22 Coaches.
Additionally;
ECU's win over VT is looking almost silly now. Their big win is now is over another ACC bottom feeder UNC, and THAT is only because of the score.
The loss to South Carolina now looks more like a game that should have been won by a top 25.
If Marshall continues to take care of business as usual vs FAU, and ECU plays less than dominating ball vs Temple, I expect Marshall to overtake the Pirates as soon as next week.

Sagarin
ECUs SOS - 89
Marshalls SOS - 147
ESPN
ECUs SOS - 81
Marshalls SOS -126
SOS matters...playing teams like VaTech, UNC, South Carolina, UCF, and Cincy is way better than Akron and MTSU.

Uconn not Temple. Let's leave ECU out of this thread. Great job Marshall on moving up.

Why should we leave ECU out of this thread? The positions of Marshall and ECU in the polls are of paramount importance with respect to the G5 access bowl representative.

Because this is a congratulatory thread for Marshall. I don't think it was meant to be turned into a pissing matching thread like every other thread on this board. But you comment will surely do that since you wanted to bring up ECU and vtechs game. As you can see a Memphis poster has already chimed in. Even the title of the thread is talking about Marshall only. That's why you need to leave ECU out of this thread.

First, EXALTATIONS TO MARSHALL. Every week they get closer to knocking out ECU!
Second, Sagarin Sucks in its computer gyrations and has been historically the least accurate of a bunch of Computer Nerd generated crap for decades!
Third, ESPN does not carry any CUSA games, it carries and PROMOTES its very own AAC, resulting in ECU being ranked higher than MARSHALL. END OF DISCUSSION!

I submit that this is not a congratulatory thread for Marshall at all; nor should it be. Instead it is just an informational thread.
Indeed, any congratulations should be directed toward the voters in the two polls for finally getting it right.
Marshall has known it was a top #25 for some time.

Who do you see as losing ahead of you? USC vs. UTAH is one guaranteed, but other than that WVU vs. OSU is the only other one I could see.

Two weeks. If you stumble vs UConn you are done.
