2000 FCS National Championship game at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga. It was against Montana, who travels well, so the stadium was full. It was freezing, raining sideways, the turf was a mess, and a back and forth game. Of course the Eagles came out on top.

Nope. We didn't play y'all in 2005. 03-hissyfit

I believe it was the first round of the 2005 playoffs.

Yeah I know. I was joking because we choked so hard it got Sewak fired.

I didnt attend the A&M game, and missed the Corey's Hail Mary in Memphis.
But I was at the 29-10 win at Memphis St in 1975. It was a huge upset at the time.

I feel bad for the people who left early. I didn't think we had much of a chance either but was determined to support the team through that awful year. Glad I did.

2010 App State at Paulson, they came in ranked #1 at the time, at the time we were 4-4 under our first year HC Jeff Monken and out of the national conversation (such as it was in FCS) due to 4 bad years in a row. We won it in overtime after scoring a TD and then forcing a fumble on their possession. Didn't lose another game that year until the national semi-finals at Delaware. That was the game we knew we were back!

We got our first GoDaddy invite in the locker room.

Great day.

We got the Go Daddy invite after beating MTSU on the road... I was at that game and remember listening to the radio walking out as they got the call.

Correct. MTSU clinched the league title. The Cajuns win pretty much locked it up, we knew we could win outright by beating two under .500 teams to finish up (MTSU, Troy) But our last trip to MTSU was the clincher. I remember that game well, about 2500 ASU fans made the trip to Murfreesboro, which was unheard of from us travel wise at the time. Players came back after originally going to the Locker Room and celebrated on the field with fans We stayed in the stadium for a good hour after the game celebrating. I then remember that I drove back to Jonesboro and joined another several hundred who greeted the team bus when they got back.

Beating ULL was outstanding, and as fans most of us knew we had won the title once that game ended, but it wasn't the clincher. MTSU in 2011 and 2012 was the official clinching game.

Taken at my seat in the Swamp. 7th row, 49 yard line.

After that, I'll say App St 2010, and then Furman 2005. I rushed the field both times.

RE: What's your teams most...
2012 ULM at home was a fond memory for me. Two months after beating Arkansas, the Warhawks came in. (I remember Browning got hurt for them the week before) Int was a Thursday Night game, and we had 100 percent coverage in the state that night. Little Rock television and radio stations came up live to broadcast from the stadium, our administration personally invited a couple major Little Rock businesses that are notorious Razorback supporters and put them in the AD suite. We pretty much wanted to show off that Arkansas lost to a team we were going to beat. ULM was treated extraordinarily well for a visiting team, and then we beat them by 3 touchdowns. Somewhere around the end of the 3rd quarter, a giagantic "How Long Will the Hogs Run" (Our old 70's and 80's mantra) was displayed by fans in the end zone. After the game, several of our players took the banner and paraded it around the field before Rhett Lashlee publicly gave them a tongue lashing about acting like you belong.

Then there was the MTSU game where our largest crowd ever (Until Missouri next year at least) showed up. We had 6 posessions in the first 3 quarters, faced 0 fourth downs, had 0 turnovers, 0 penalties, and scored 6 touchdowns. The Literal perfect game. Fans were invited on the field to celebrate with players after the game, and we got that memorable moment when Karl Benson was introduced to present the trophy, and he was booed so loudly and heartily that the fans had to literally be calmed down before the presentation could be made. Benson hasn't publicly appeared in front of AState fans since.

Its probably been said by multiple GS fans, but this is my favorite Southern memory. Taking down #1 App State (2010) at home to start our trip to the playoffs after losing I think its was 4 straight. The resilience of this team was incredible that year. Also rushing the field never hurts

It always brings a smile to my face to think about that MTSU win in 2012. 31k at home, last game of the season when every other year the last game would be luck to draw 12k. That was when I knew things were truly different at ASU. We totally kicked their @$$. Could have beaten them by 60 if we wanted.

And to hear later that QB, Ryan Aplin told the MTSU players at the coin-toss, "It's over", after we chose to receive the ball. That is awesome.

RE: What's your teams most...
Since everyone is putting synopses of the games I thought I'd go back and recap:

2005 vs GS - It was TXST's first FCS playoff game ever. The team just clicked that year. Never heard of GS until that season (I started following in 2004.) but we soon heard all we wanted to (and more) from other FCS teams and GS fans. They were a TO team and we regularly played Nicholls but that was nothing compared to GS, their program and their perfection of that offense. We trailed almost the whole of the game. Their QB ran the TO like nobody's business. At halftime, the team said "we are not going to lose this". That didn't stop GS. With 19 minutes left in the game GS was up (after a TD) 35-16. TXST scored to end the 3rd qtr but still down 35-23. In the next 15 minutes, the TXST D held GS scoreless while Barrick Nealy put on a clinic, scoring 27 (one missed PAT) unanswered points and led the cats to a 50-35 win.
I'm sure the GS fans didn't appreciate us storming the field but that "dream season" had been a long time coming in San Marcos.

The rest are in no particular order because I can't decide.

2008 vs SAM - An away game for the SLC title. A win sends TXST to the playoffs for a 2nd time, a loss maybe gets them an at large bid. SAM was good that year. It was a seesaw and tense game. It was away and (their field sucks BTW) the team had its up and downs so no one knew what the outcome would be. Personally, I was less than optimistic but still held out hope (that and a little vodka helped). TXST held the lead with 1:08 left but the D let us down and SAM marched down the field to send it to OT with 4 seconds left in the game.
In OT they held SAM to a FG while we got the ball second and got a TD.
48-45 TXST win.
Not sure, but I think this may be the only time that TXST stormed an opponent's field. Got a cracked rib out of that melee.
To this day, FCS folks are still pissed the SLC gave the championship to TXST over UCA (who did have a better record) but they were still transitioning and not eligible for the title or playoffs.

2013 USA - Many of you saw that game. I was there and had gone down to the NEZ middle of the 4th. Watching this game had my guts so messed up I thought I was going to puke right there, from the front row onto the field. This was the kind of game one lives for but never gets over unless your team finds that one play that seals it. The Jones to Ijah (or "The Pass") 4th down play was just what I dialed up and led to the 33-31 win.

2012 UH - First FBS win as an FBS team (FBS transitional year) Nothing else much to report here (they're - UH - not worth the time). Naturally the UH fans were more than condescending to our fans/team since the debacle in 2010 and looked down their noses towards us but the complete domination from kickoff to final whistle shut them up fairly early. They'll still sneer but with that win TXST leads the UH/TXST series 4-1.
TXST 30-13
