RE: New recruit Tyson Batiste is a 2 Star in Rivals
Last Rivals 2-star we had was Josh Hagins.
Ben Dillard was 3-star.
Will Neighbour was 3-star.
Courtney Jackson was 2-star
Elijah Muldrow was 3-star
Zack Graber was 2-star
Alexei Korolev was 2-star

Those are the stars they show for us back through the 2002 class.

We don't sign a ton of players with "stars". Looking at the above list, most of them were good players for us, with only Korolev being a complete bust. If this point guard ends up being as good as Zach Graber I will be very pleased. Overall, it seems pretty obvious to me that Steve's recruiting has improved which makes the future look bright if he can continue this trend. We have certainly found some diamond in the roughs, with James White, Mareik, and hopefully Marius Hill. The biggest diamond in the rough we pinpointed was obviously Ron Baker. Unfortunately, we lost him to his home state team but he is now a preseason 3rd team All-American.
