WKU's stadium
Let me just say that I was diggin' me some WKU football stadium. This is exactly what we need, except ours would need to be bigger. (Its capacity is 22,000.) The crowd was only 14,923 but seemed bigger and louder because we weren't in a 70,000-seat cavern. What a concept.

From the pictures of what Cinncy's newly renovated stadium will look like, I like theirs. They are playing their home games in the Bengal's stadium this year while their own is rebuilt.

I agree! WKU stadium looks good - just smaller than I hope our OCS will start out at.

Next time anyone goes bring ear plugs - they pipe sound to make their band sound better/louder along w/ ambient cheers just like the canned laughs on tv. Smaug you can tell Little Smaug that their flute/fife section is horrible sounded like they were doing their imitation of Capt Quint scratching the chalkboard in Jaws. They were way off key when playing My Old Kty Home

We here love our little stadium. Our press box needs upgrading, otherwise happy people in BG. Eventual expansion (hopefully) will be on the Harbaugh Club side. As a side note, it gets extremely loud with 22,500+. We just can't get that enough. Always excuses for WKU fans.
Thanks for the compliments on Smith Stadium.

Thanks for the compliments on Smith Stadium.

We know how you feel about the attendance battle... We hold our breath waiting to see 20,000 people in our 72,000-seat stadium. Even when we draw a nice crowd, there are still 45,000+ empty seats.

It sucks to have all those empty seats at Legion Field, but hopefully this old stadium will have its upside when Bill Clark gets UAB football into the Top 25 polls and Birmingham really starts to get on the Blazer bandwagon. :-)

RE: WKU's stadium
Theflash, maybe you can answer a question I have. I played for UAB in 1995 when we last played at WKU. I remember the stadium having the one side with an upper deck. In the videos from the other night, it looks like the newer seats are opposite that side and WKU's bench is on the new side. In 1995, WKU's bench was on the other side (since the new side wasn't built yet). Am I right that WKU has at some point changed the side of their home bench?

The "home bench" side is the new side, built in 08ish.
