Jumping the gun a bit, don't you think?
Who else has the means-motive-opportunity?

You're right. With the peerless technical capability that the Iranian nuclear program holds, and the overall social and political stability that region has, there is absolutely no chance that this was either an accident or done by someone besides Israel. Stop jumping the gun, we don't even know if it was an accident or not yet, do we?

Go back and read Israel's history of sabotaging Iran's nuclear program. Very creative and effective just not quite total. They can't do what they did in Iraq.

why is that?

Because I prefer more covert means of obstruction like Stuxnet rather than overt methods such as this. This headline reads like a Vince Flynn novel.

I'd prefer something more subtle, too. But sometimes, "subtle" is not an option.

Who knows if it was Israel of not, but if so, it had to be pretty covert to pull it off. Anyway, doesn't matter if it is a computer virus or bomb, Israel and the US will get blamed anyway. In the end, it was probably just an Iranian fack up.

I prefer effective but I'm more results oriented in things like this

Also, Flynn had a lot of contacts in the IDF

Don't discount gross incompetence, similar to Chernobyl.

Two different types of scenarios. The program in Iran is much better than Chernobyl. In that instance, it really was gross negligence. In this case I wouldn't be surprised if they 'claimed' incompotance but I find that very difficult to fathom based on history

I'd say cause #1 and #3 have approximately the same odds (because the how of #1 is #3). My guess would be accident would be higher, up around 40-60%.

No. ISIS gains nothing by it. They would rather capture the territory AND the nuclear program intact. I can't see a scenario where Iran would nuke IS.
Also, they have a lot of money and people who would want to sell them the material if needed.

Don't forget that, according to Iran, al Qaeda and ISIS are both creations of the Americans and Israelis.

Iran = shia
ISIS = sunni

That trumps anything involving the US with regard to how Iran feels about ISIS.

A much bigger role IMHO. But I just can't see IS doing anything like this at the moment. Iran is threatening the existence of Israel, not IS. If things keep going the way they are they WILL tangle. IS ISNT a big threat to Iran yet. They are fighting but more so over the scraps of Iraq than each other. For now.

USA TODAY had an article. Some British media are talking about it. Obviously it's a major story in Israeli media.

Yes it is. That is why I posted the link to the Israel newspaper.

Like the global warming hypothesis?
