I'm generally not much for these things but it doesn't seem like a lot of thought was put into this. They ranked us 73 and Cincy 63 after we just destroyed them at their place, not to mention we've looked better so far this year. Other relevant teams, UCF 61, Middle 74, Houston 82, SMU 125(out of 128), ECU 19.

75% of the responders have Memphis as being too low

I noticed that. I wonder if everyone did as I did. Once I voted for Memphis, I scrolled up to Cincy and voted them too high, naturally the %s are inverted.

What an awful ranking system.

Harry Palm must be doing those rankings too.

Sagarin has us at 36.

All the non-P5 teams look alike to them.

Massey Ratings seem about right.

Seems a little high to me. Somewhere in the 35-40 range is more like it.

I've watched a ton of CFB this year and the sagarin poll looks pretty spot on.

Yep, as it is right now there aren't 57-72 teams better than us.

be interested to see where Football outsiders has us in the next release. Were 63rd before this week and Cincy was 60.

No doubt. And some of the polls probably still have some preseason and last season influence to them. We are going to be really suppressed in those polls until that data gets flushed out of consideration.

Got it. The composite actually looks legit too.

Sagarin and Massey composite seem closest to reality, and also mirror our votes in the Coaches' poll.

Sagarin is one of the most reliable posters. Has been for some time.

It's great to see us above some so called big national schools, like U of Washington as an example. Many others of note.

And this poll uses last season, preseason, and garbage data until week 7, so if Memphis drops Houston, we could move up 10 to 20 spots easily.
