I agree. Thats what is so huge about having a complete team. There will be days and times your offense, by the nature of the game, will falter. If your defense is a sieve, you will quickly see a mountain pile up jn front of you.

An example could be ODU. We had 3 tough turnovers, if our defense let ODU score, it could easily have been 35-28 at half or some other variation and we get caught in a situation like MTSU last season, where whoever had the ball last wins the game because you dont have a defense.

ECU still has this problem. It will catch them in a game where their offense has an off day or even an off quarter or half, and they get behind.

I think USF matches up well this weekend. If ECU doesn't play a clean game, USF will have a chance to win it. Ill definitely keep an eye on that one.

First of all about every team loses a game "they're not supposed too" every year.
ULL was a bowl game in a crappy bowl, and that was their conference championship bowl.
2010 and 2011 were ruffs first two years, and were both about .500
LOL yes that Arkansas team win Ryan Mallet was horrible, let's not mention the 4 or 5 missed field goals.
UVA was coming off a 31-0 win against Maryland, and then beat 18th UNC and 18th Georgia tech in back to back weeks right after our game, they were just hot.
I honestly don't even remember that 2007 game.
In 2006 those games had a combine 5 thousand people, plus skip decided to punt and make them score once we got a ten point lead.

How does USF match up well? Their defense's strength if run D, and their offensive strength is their running game, and our run defense is fifteenth in the nation.

You need to remember those folks like mauto and banker will tell everyone Marshall will win cusa football championship every year but like all 9 years NO cusa football championships in ANY male sport cusa championships......lol.

Yes, your fans have made many more statements like these this season. I am not going to spend all the time searching archives, but you have to be not reading your board to not notice. Your tweener conference statements are the stuff of legend. It even prompted the original fans of the conference to call you and UCF fans on it. I agree the rhetoric against Marshall has toned down as the season has been playing out. Why do you think it happened? You did the same thing last year. We were laughable losers until you lost. Then, we were a good team.

If any of you think you will get Marshall on a home game only schedule, you are eating the delusional smorgasbord. We already have a home and home series scheduled, and it seems your AD is a bit more into reality. I do think ECU is a good team, but I do believe we are better this year. Yes, we are passionate.
