What get rich quick schemes are we talking about?

The only advertisements that I feel uncomfortable with that are predominantly on conservative stations/channels are the ones about opening a "Gold & Silver IRA". Yes, adding some gold and silver to your portfolio is generally a good idea, but those companies targeting the soon to be retired to roll their entire retirement into gold and silver because "the debt is X trillion, and the economy is about to collapse" are ridiculous.

Same reason sports talk shows advertise for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation?

It's all about the money. If I had a talk show on conservative radio and Charmin toilet paper offered me $300k for 30 seconds per break and Turn Your Gold into Cash offered me $1.5 million for 30 seconds per break and I had one slot to fill.. I'd do the Gold to Cash.. It's all about the dolla dolla bill.

It's talk radio. You have to look at the demographic. I listened to Opie and Anthony for years and one of their advertisers was Adam and Eve.. They knew their demo.

I don't listen to conservative talk radio.. Some of them guys are too boring for me..

But not just those. Like buy gold, etc. etc.

because demographic research suggest the typical conservative listener is greedy, ignorant and afraid. Get rich quick schemes, put your food up, and get gun training all appeal to the demographic. As to the assertion it's because they are entrepeneurs? laughable. They are mostly leeches bleeding friends and relatives for $$ they don't have so they can throw it away on pie in the sky scams.

Well, Charmin, for one, almost always targets the female shopper - that's why you always see it on afternoon soaps. My guess it that conservative talk radio has a much larger male listenership...........
