In 2003-2004 in fact, they had fans here and elsewhere, who basically opined that...even though Memphis won in 2003, Mississippi was playing for things at a different level.

Nonsense. Perhaps they have a better team, but this placing them into the SEC title game happens so often, yet they soon discover that they, unlike Alabama and company, are at a different level.

They have every right to gloat this year, and they have a great shot at finishing 3rd in their division this year

I watched about 5 mins of them on tube the other week. They pounded their chests a lot after plays, and they seemed meaner than normal too. Maybe it's 'cause they were playing in front of their fans.

Sad but true that with the $EC TV money that get now they are at a different level. Just the difference in their stadium improvements from when we won there last in 2004 from two years ago when I last attended a game there is impressive.

They were just lucky to be in a conference with Bammer, LSU, Florida and Auburn winning titles and getting TV and Bowl money. Kudos to them for spending wisely though.
