NBR: Can Larry Survive at Troy
Larry is now zero for four. Just got humiliated 66 to nothing by UGA
Watching on and off the game looked like his players have quit on him.
Rivals UAB and even USA are building better programs. Most teams would be looking for new coach.

However Larry is for Troy equal (not nationally) to Bartow - program founder has stadium named after him etc. I am not sure Troy will have the heart.

We are a better program than Troy because of what? Again, we look to be headed in the right direction, but Clark hasn't proven much yet.

Well, the 48-10 ass-whoopin' we laid on them might be an indicator.

Of a team that lost to Abilene Christian. I'm as excited as anybody about the start to our season, but so far Clark hasn't done anything much in my opinion. We can get there quickly, but at the moment it's hard to say we are a better program than Troy.

if we didn't hire him this year, we'd be going against him next.

Blakeney is obviously done at troy going off his press conferences all season.

Well, they've made no secret that they've coveted Clark. If they're on a different plain than us, they can hire him away from us.

I'll bet a beer that the Troy A.D. calls to see if HCBC will interview. And I'll bet another beer something wicked has happened behind the scenes that makes Clark think about it.

Better conference, better TV coverage, better access to bowls, much larger program ceiling, much better school location, much better school, much better athletic program over all. We are a better athletic program, it's not even close.

Lol. I listened to a Montgomery sports talk a show after the loss to Abilene Christian. Barry McKnight blamed TSUs problems on facilities. A troy caller wanted to fire home cuz and hire HCBC.

The disparity between the Sun Belt and the rest of the G5 leagues isn't even close. Those that were left behind in the latest round of expansion (Troy, USA, NMSU, Arkansas St, Idaho) are really facing an uphill battle.

And Jon Soloman still thinks we should join the Sun Belt. Look don't even torture yourselves. Unless Clark is a complete fraud he is not leaving UAB for Troy.

I really don't care if LB stays or leaves. It's a Sun Belt school and the only thing that makes this Blazer relates is that we administered the first ass whipping of the season.

RE: NBR: Can Larry Survive at Troy
My main question is, why do recruits even want to play in Troy? That isn't trying to be a personal insult to the school, but Pike County royally sucks.

I visited there a few years ago for an unrelated function, and nothing is there. I can't imagine any talented recruit wanting to play and go to school there.

UAB has Birmingham to offer, and there's much more to do here.
