I love my wife
So we are discussing moving back to the greater Tennessee area.

Me: "What if we move to Knoxville?"
Wife: "Well, I guess we'll have to wear orange some of the time."

Me: "What if we move to Nashville?"
Wife: "Well, I can't root for Vandy. They lose too much. We'll have to pull for the Titans."

Me: "What if we move to Louisville?"
Wife: "I don't have to do sh%t."

I love my wife.

Just a point of note, you don't have to wear orange if you move to Knoxville.

We have a daughter with a UTK degree, a son-in-law, and grandkids that bleed orange living in Knoxville.

We'll still be pulling for Memphis wherever we are.

RE: I love my wife
You have a nice family, Claw.

I have a Razorback son-in-law, but you will never catch me dressing like a Hog. Never.

What we have in common is a deep and abiding hatred of UT. He said before his twins were born,
"My daughters will NEVER wear anything orange." I love my son-in-law.

I've been rooting for Vandy, which does lose a lot, for decades. I don't just go looking for winners.

I have an Arkansas son-in-law too. That daughter lives in Mississippi and is a UT fan.

One son is a MissStake alumni who married a gal from Michigan.

But thank God for youngest son - Tiger to the core.

Nice family Claw. As long as you all end up rooting for the Tigers all is good.

I was supposed to go to Ole Miss after high school. My parents met there and I got some cheesy alumni scholarship. $300 or so. Girlfriend was going there too. The day before I was to leave I just couldn't do it. Told my folks I had always hated that ******* school and always will. Enrolling at Memphis State was a dream come true. Student tickets were like gold to me. Losing the girlfriend wasn't fun, but who knew MSU had girls too!

I lived in Knoxville for three years.
Didn't wear a stitch with ANYTHING orange on it either.

One of my greatest achievements was 'influencing' my LA nephew to support UofM BB instead of his father's alma mater---UCLA. I started when he was really young. Every time he came to visit my store, I gave him a little sack to fill with what ever treats he wanted.

By the time I was sending him Tiger gear in junior high, he had absolutely no love for UCLA. Nephew wore his gear around the house and could talk about nothing but our BB players that almost glorious year we posterized Kevin Love.

Sort of like us. Wife is Ole Miss x3 grad. Two boys graduated from Miss State because of baseball. Oldest son's wife is Oklahoma grad. Youngest son's wife graduated from Bama but is Ole Miss fan. Daughter and her hubby both graduated from Memphis. It gets real confusing on game day around here.

I would love to get back to Memphis somehow, but I don't see if working out in the near future.
