I'd love for BC to come into the conference. They're a peer school to Tulane.

They also would give UConn a truly hated rival. They don't have one here now that Syracuse left. There are no opponents in the AAC right now that can get a rise from UConn fans - and that's not a good thing as it's never "home" without the rivalries!

UCF fans can't call for BC to 'return.' As a matter of fact, only UConn was truly a conference member with BC (Temple was football only at the time before being asked to leave).

Cool story.

Hey, here's a tip from a fan of a school that used to play in the SEC:

Move on. Living in the past will get you nowhere.

Cool story. However, that is easy for you to say as Tulane was last in the SEC in 1966. UConn was in a power conference a mere two years ago, so "moving on" is a little tougher. Also, unlike Tulane, UConn has the nation's best basketball programs of the last 20 years to worry about going forward. Those programs still very much exist in the PRESENT.

No way, WVU would probably hop on the "return train." Then the B12 takes Miami and the ACC sits at 12. #Americanrisen #powerconference

Clearly. Please write down everything Tulane has done in the past 50 years so we avoid whatever drove your athletic program into the gutter.

Yep....WVU would come back sooner than BC ever will. The only way any of the Eastern schools come back is if they choose to form a new league, which is doubtful....Unless Penn State were to be a part of it, which is even more doubtful.

Well, in the PRESENT neither Tulane nor UConn are in a P5. UConn is a Johnny Come Lately to the D1 football scene, which drives everything. Ask your old friend Jim Boheim, who not too long ago said "Football drives everything."

Now if you want to talk about the past, Tulane was a founding member of the SEC, and has more SEC Football titles than 4 or 5 current teams COMBINED. Yes, it's ancient history, but so is UConn's one glorious BCS bowl season. Since Edsall left the Huskies (whom I root for after Tulane, as I have a daughter that goes to UConn) have been downright bad. Over the summer, we heard from a few Huskies fans that this year's team was going to be so much better, that the talent was there, and the coach was going to turn things around instantly. I think they'll get better, but it's going to take time. Right now they're not very good.

And there's no doubt that UConn has the best basketball program in the conference and one of the best in the country. A lot of good that did during the conference shuffle, eh? And by the way, this is all a pipedream. Unless the AAC regains P6 status, and gets a TV contract to reflect P6 status, BC isn't even considering coming back. No way, no how.

Maybe UConn should play UMass every year as an OOC game. Create a rivalry there.

I'm thinking the B1G and B12 probably split into three with the AAC so you'll see something like (it's b/c Michigan/OSU and Texas/OU get in a big fight):

UConn, Temple, ECU, UCF, USF, PSU, UMD, Rutgers, WVU, Ohio state, Iowa state and Indiana

then

MSU, Michigan, Okie state, OU, Iowa, Tulsa, K-state, Memphis, Cincy (the new OSU), Tulane, Nebraska and Baylor

SMU, Houston, Navy, Texas, TCU, TTU, Minnesota, Kansas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Purdue and Northwestern

Did I forget anyone? I know we will be a bit sad and miss eachother (for some weird reason) as this goes down, but it's for the best.
