RE: NIU @ UNLV Roll Call
Was surprised to learn on Saturday just how many fans are going to Vegas for this game. We are going out tomorrow bringing 4. Sec 102.
Looking forward to pre-game party. Let's leave Las Vegas ranked in top 25!

Vegas is a great destination. Idaho, not so much. We need to schedule a game against UCF or USF in November.

RE: NIU @ UNLV Roll Call
Can someone tell me why I should not feel like I'm being screwed by the NIU Athletic Department. Purchased UNLV ticket through NIU, just like I did for the Orange Bowl even though that ticket could be purchased for less online.

Received my ticket and see that I'm seated in Section 204. Went to a link to the seating chart through the UNLV website and see that the seats are behind the end zone. Also, according to the UNLV website, the seats are $20 seats and I paid NIU $35 for the tickets. According to the interactive seating chart, there are plenty of seats on the 50 yard line. Which I'm sure that I will be occupying one of them.

Lesson learned after last weeks Northwestern game then this.

Something something... Support your school if you want... Something something... NIU is allotted tickets and doesn't have much control of the allotment visiting section.

RE: NIU @ UNLV Roll Call
With online purchases such as stub hub, ticketmaster and others, their should be a box that you can check telling your affiliation. Visiting teams always get the crap. If you are going to Notre Dame, Michigan, OSU etc. might be cheapest way to guarantee tickets. But for NIU, U of I, Indiana, Purdue, you can do much better at stubhub

RE: NIU @ UNLV Roll Call
I don't have a problem with buying the tickets through NIU. I do have a problem paying $35 for tickets that are $20 for the UNLV game and paying $40 for the Northwestern tickets which according to Northwestern web site are $30 tickets.

If you are going to sell me a $35 ticket, put me in the section with tickets that cost $35. Don't overcharge me for the ticket.

They pretty much sold out of their NU ticket allotment. Impossible to overcharge on tickets you sell all of.

RE: NIU @ UNLV Roll Call
When you sell out, you stop taking orders. I ordered early for both back in July. You don't print a $20 ticket with a $35 price on it.

Also, to assure good seats you need to purchase direct. According to the UNLV website there are plenty of empty seats at midfield.

No, you set a price where you think you can make the most profit. It's business.

RE: NIU @ UNLV Roll Call
Flying in from Georgia Thursday night. Will be playing nerf football Friday afternoon at the Luxor pool if interested.

I also have 4 extra tickets as four backed out at the last second. Have not seen the Huskies since the Wisconsin game in Soldier Field. Man I really hate that fat man Belima and hope we whip up on his team the following week.

Let me know if you need tickets, they were bought through NIU and I believe the section is in the 200s, but we will probably move down if given the chance.

It is a fact that if you buy tickets to an away game like this thru NIU- not a Bowl game - the visitor section seats will pretty much suck. Most of the time the visitors seats are not going to be primo seats. If I am going to spend a ton of money flying to a game, hotel, meals, etc. I want good seats so I will buy online so I know exactly where my seats will be.

Maybe we need to set up a DogPound section for some of these away games. Plan early...buy a group/ block of seats online & be assured of good seats & have other Huskie fans around us. Just an idea for the future perhaps?
At UNLV, we are in section 106 - which we chose - and there were still plenty of seats around us in that section. We bought right off the UNLV site & printed our tickets at home.

Driving up after work on Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed that my car makes it that far and that I can buy a ticket when I get there. If not, I'll just watch from a nice air-conditioned sports book.

Make sure you walk over to the Adult only pool at the Flamingo which is on the side behind the palm trees. Free eye candy.
