They have a big game in MWC play this week with CSU!who's won back to back games vs the PAC 12 going back to their bowl last year.

My parents mlved from die hard to armchair quarterbacking. Not due to losing but season ticket prices. Theyre horrendous. Only go to one or two games a year now but do travel for bowl games.

That is an issue specially with the explosion on tv or internet games. It used to be the only way to watch your team was to buy tickets and ho to the games. That has changed in recent years

They have a relatively small market and a lot of their games are televised. It's easier to sit home and not spend a ton on the experience.

Boise State is no different than Cincinnati, USF, UCF, Louisville, Memphis, TCU, Tulane, Tennessee, etc.
It's easy to draw a lot of fans if your are winning a lot of games. It's ain't so easy to draw fans when you are losing games.
Tennessee had their first sellout in six years on Sunday.

Specially if you are not winning" the Boise fans have come used to one loss seasons at most and that's no longer the case.

Earlier this Spring, BSU Athletics put a hold (maybe only temporarily) on their somewhat inexpensive $28 Million stadium expansion that was suppose to occur in 2018.
I think BSU, just like others, will be looking at adding future premium amenities (i.e. clubs, suites, loge boxes, etc..) vs adding just more general/bleacher seating...as more and more of those folks are deciding to stay home.

College football bubble beginning to bust? I've read that attendance is down all across the country. Are people becoming fed up with how stupid college football is becoming?

Its certainly not stupid...its just that HD Coverage of basically EVERY GAME makes it totally unnecessarily for some fans (not all) to have to go to the stadiums to see the games.
It wasn't that long ago when teams only had a max of 3 national TV games per year...so if you wanted to see your team play, you had to travel to home and even road games to see most of the games they played.

That's debatable. I've personally grown tired of the whole arms race and realignment carousel.

That's one of the last reason attendance is dropping nationwide. HD coverage combined with the rising costs of attending a game (and the inconveniences) is killing it.

Don't you worry! If the downward trends continues, the Donkeys will break out the bright orange field to get ticket sales back up!

No, college football is becoming stupid. The whole thing is being "redistricted" to make sure only certain teams have a chance to win.

That's all a part of it, but realignment is doing it's part, as well.

What makes the decision easier for students at Michigan and other schools is the expectation that the games they’re missing aren’t going to be that good. The shifting and expansion of college football conferences has led to incredibly lucrative TV contracts for the programs involved, but it has also meant that traditional rivals don’t play every year like they used to. Michigan’s biggest rivals are Michigan State and Ohio State, but for the first time in nearly 40 years, the Wolverines won’t be hosting either team this season. Instead, Michigan will welcome the likes of Appalachian State and Miami (Ohio), opponents that many fans apparently think aren’t worth paying $50 to see.

Yep, UCF fans are just bullish because of last year. Just wait until they go 8-4 this year and get zilch in national media attention. Our points will then become clearer to them.

If that is true then that is not good they need more General Admission. The nose bleed seats are the same price as the lower seats. Need to adjust the ticket prices.

I should add to my sig that I am a Spurs fan. L'Pool looked excellent (again) this weekend, good luck the rest of the way, at least until we visit Anfield.

I also believe there were reports at the end of last football season that attendance was down

RE: Boise football attendance concerns
These are not concerns. It is reality. Everyone warned Boise to stay off their high horse because as quickly as you rise, the fall can be equally that swift and it hurts.
So be careful when you think you arrived at the big stage and start looking down on the others. Save the trash talk after you have sustained it for a couple decades.
