You both should be each others biggest fan. Since you don't play each other, if you get a 11-1 UTSA vs 12-0 Marshall, CUSA basically assures itself an access spot.

Well, we do play WKU. And IMHO WKU looks better than Marshall right now. I don't think anyone in C-USA goes undefeated this season.

11-1? That will be a daunting task for UTSA considering we play Arizona and Okie St in the next two weeks. Additionally, we still have not beaten Rice in 2 years and we see them in Houston. Our CUSA road schedule is brutal since we have to travel to WKU, FAU, Rice and La Tech

Verdict's still out on both Marshall and UTSA. It's premature to crown either of us in our respective divisions. There's a long season ahead, and all kinds of things can happen, not to mention other teams which can rise to the occasion such as WKU who have really impressed so far. Important thing is that we continue to do well in the these first weeks against OOC opposition and represent our conference well. Until conference play begins, we're all in this boat together and have each others' backs.

Let's keep it rolling in week 2, C-USA!

I look for Middle and NT to make some noise, as well as Rice. Don't be fooled by Saturday. This will be a good race to follow in both the East and West. We will not participate this season, sadly.

I'd say that both the East and the West are destined to be great races. MTSU hasn't received much press yet, but 61 points is impressive, I don't care who you are playing. If UAB plays the rest of the season like Saturday, they can potentially beat any division opponent.

Just want to beat Arizona right now. One game at a time.

We've been aching for a big OOC win for a while. Minnesota is just the right amount of respectable but still slightly crappy that fits the bill.

Psst, noobs... I made definitive assumptions before the start of August practice, and I'd just look like a flip flipper if I changed now.

I think its funny that people are jumping to conclusions and saying "how impressive" teams are right noe. No one flippin knows how good anyone is right now. Miami could win out, houston could lose 10 games, bowling green could win out or lose the next 11 too. No one knows. Lets play a few games first and see where we are. We should all have a good feel after game 3.

And arizona is no world beater, they arent nearly as good as Marshall can be, utsa should beat them.

Just win the OOC games and go from there.

It would be great if CUSA had two teams with one loss or less facing off in the championship game, especially if both were at least getting votes. Would reflect well on the conference.

This prediction is just as valid as any predictions on the C-USA championship this year right now.
