A&M at USC is the big one for most folks (including Rice fans if we want to see what the Aggies look like post Johnny Jam Boogie). Tulane at Tulsa could be an interesting game in an AAC game that other conference members are going to be saying 'we invited who and why?'

Hill marches the Ags right down the field for a TD. Very impressive.

Similar thought about Tulane and Tulsa but mine was Tulsa thinking they moved to get away from Tulane and Tulane thought they moved to get away from Tulsa. Of course both moved to get away from Rice.

A&M's offense might end up being better this year than last year. Of course they had a decent offense the last two years, but it was the defense that was suspect. But my first impression is that it will be very tough for our defense to stop their offense in a couple of weeks.

It actually started last night with Georgia State beating Abilene Christian on a late FG, 38-37.

Jesse Palmer ... "I really believe if A&M were playing Lamar or Rice, we would have seen a different starting quarterback."

Way to stay up on current events (like a 10-win season), Jesse.

You know it's early in the season when Brent hasn't made his first gambling related reference yet.

When did the SEC become the CUSA? Lots of offense, not so much defense.

24-14 TAMU mid 2Q.

Ricky Seals-Jones is a beast. I remember watching him play against my son's basketball team when he was a senior at Sealy HS. A man amongst boys back then. Not much has changed.

The game is three hours old and just starting the forth quarter. A&M 45-28.

Now 52-28. Sumlin has the offense in high gear.

A&M reminded me more of the old UH Sumlin offenses with Keenum. And they've got loads of playmakers on offense at RB and WR.

Vandy is getting stomped at home by a Temple team that lost to FCS twice last season.

Tulane-Tulsa was a good game.

Tulane-Tulsa was a good game.

Tulane had a chance to close out the 1st half 28-7 but blew a late scoring chance and then gave up a long TD play on a bad play by the safeties so it was 21-14 and momentum really began to shift.

RE: College football starts tonight!
After watching some of the A$M game last night, I have two conclusions:

1. There is a five star QB recruit on the A$M sideline who will be transferring after this season.
2. We had better take advantage of our opportunity tomorrow as it is the better chance to get a win in the first two.

Clearly A&M is very good this season, but maybe SC is overrated?

21st century offense defeats 20th century offense.

Also, the Aggies are still vulnerable on defense. But with their offensive line and skill position players, it likely won't make a difference against most teams.

That's why I wonder about SC because for much of the game they made A&M's defense look good. I had expected SC to do more on offense.
